I did this in my lb7 California emissions.
It's a very nice piece.
Jumped my mileage by a mile per gallon and gives better throttle response.
The issue comes from hammer down the throttle amd letting off quickly and hammer back down quickly. Thats where all the concerns occur that everyone is concerned about.
I have a lb7 California emissions too so you recommend adding this part? Did it wake it up a bit also do you have a lift pump
@riveraf5053 yes I would. Make sure you get the correct part.
The one they are talking about on the video is not the same for the lb7.
It's also not to hard to put on for ours. It's not the same spot. It's under the rad hose that goes to the thermostats and the ac compressor is in the way. I can't remember what else off hand.
Yes I do have a lift pump.
An it makes a big difference in the Getty up and go.
I also changed out the clutch fan for electric fans and that makes a nice difference also. Around 50hp. And it keeps the ac cooler while not moving. Because of not having the fan move with the engine speed.
I purchased one of these plugs a while back but hesitant to install because I know there are risks of damaging the injectors and CP3 but how likely is this to happen?
Pretty likely if you're commanding very high pressures over stock. I'd just shim the stock fprv.
That’s the first thing I do every time I buy a Chevy 2500. That way I never have problems with this part
Does anyone have a fuel rail pressure guage and monitor the guage what it reads after turning truck off with this PPE plug?
Is this in the same spot on a 2002 lb7?

What problem were you having prior to replacing? Did it fix the problem you were targeting? I believe this is a culprit on my LBZ

I bought one and not installed yet. But my truck would go in limp mode and say low fuel pressure and now I am gonna try this . I will let u guys no in next comments. Thanks Josh .

I have the same issue with mine I raced a buddy I went into limp mode after I was full throttle for about 10 seconds however I found some kinks by my transmission as well so I'm replacing the kinked fuel line and installing this ppe race plug to see if my problem goes away.

@@KalebLewis I fixed my kinked lines under by the trans there was 4 pieces of lines I replaced, I never did install the race plug but I’m thinking about it now because over the weekend I took a 6 hour drive to Idaho and went into limp mode again in this 3mile steep uphill on interstate 90 , not even towing anything. my truck bed was full because we went camping but no more than 1000 pounds in the truck bed but yes I had to pull over and reset the check engine light with my scanner and it went away and went back on the road I was pushing the truck a little more on the drive back 85-90 mph that’s when it went into limp mode I know it’s going to happen because it’ll tell me to replace my fuel filter then 30 seconds later it goes into limp mode it always does the same thing when it’s about to happen.

I have a question completely off topic but is Duramax related I have an 04 2500hd i got a set of wheels but the bolt pattern is 8x180 and obviously 04 I'm 8x6.5 question if front and rear hubs from a later Year 2500 would be a direct swap so I can use wheels without adapters mine is 4x4
So I looked at getting one of these. But everyone said it’s not really needed on a 2013 LML.
