This is killing me just a little bit and I love it. You should have won that award tonight.. but there will be others.

I'd hide anything Josienne could potentially use as a spade and any matches/lighters/petrol from Ben..... ;) It always a pleasure to meet and hear Josienne and Ben perform live. A very special and talented couple of people.

Heard this on the radio, absolutely wonderful - just found this clip and realised we missed them at the festival. Sod it. Nice Magician too - mine doesn't have a cutaway....sorry - guitar geek!

I was trying to explain once to a fellow singer that these kinds of murderous ballads both trad and modern serve as a collective outlet and reminder or warning. She'd been offended that anyone would sing "Knoxville Girl," which I believe is based on a Child's Ballad or somesuch. I said yes, shocking lyrics, horrible events, but this kind of thing has happened, and will happen again. By singing such songs I dnon' think we say it's okay, and I hope they are a big sign saying "Cool it!" So it's kind of refreshing to hear a female POV on such a dire thought process. I haven't checked into whether Josienne and/or Ben have written this, but no matter ... and yes I think so. Well done. (I like the glare at 2:14, I think to silence the rude guys in the back.)
