When will we finally have cool games based on concepts like that? PoGo has nothing to do with visual positioning. It is just map based. In former times, it was a funny social game. Today you walk alone to a gym, start an app like PokeRaid and then you tap your screen again at again. Awful, I think. Upcoming NBA also seems to be just map-based and Peridot uses AR-mode, but looks like single play. I wonder when finally it will be possible to create a realworld AR game, where you walk to a park, meet with others and the whole group fights against a flying monster, that can be seen in the real world environment and is e.g. able to hide behind a tree. I wonder if it ever will be possible to create a real world multiplayer game where people meet at the same time at the same place to do a strategic fight against a monster seen in real world environment with complex combat mechanics instead of mechanially tapping the screen.

@@ARMRXR Let's see if it's just a gimmick to take a foto or if it will be real game content. In my opinion most of today's Pokémon trainers are conservative people mainly interested in filling the Pokedex as fast and easy as possible without having to walk to much or even having to socialize. But I hope Niantic will use this technology in its new project Marvel World of Heroes immediately after start. A Marvel game will much more be based on combat and action than Pokémon Go, I hope.

@@steviet8650 Yes, we shouldn't expect too much too soon because there are still not enough places mapped.

@@ARMRXR VPS based gaming requires being exactly at the waypoint and pointing the camera in a certain direction. This is not what today's PoGo-trainers want. You'll remember the discussion about Pokestop radius last year. Trainers want a big radius to have the Pokéstop at home or to be able to spin it while sitting in a car. VPS gaming together with others in a group is a great thing I'd like to do. But I doubt PoGo is the right game for this. Wrong audience.
