Example. There are NO shelters for homeless men and boys younger than 8 in countries like Canada where 85% homeless are men, particularity veterans who fought for same apathetic people. Thousands of women shelters, even more animal shelters. Yet homeless men and boys up there even freezing are more likely to care for cats and dogs sharing what little they have.
Sweet Potato, you do NOT deserve such cruelty, you deserve all the love in the universe. I want to take a moment to thank the beautiful people who saved this cat and gave him the love he deserves. Because of you, I haven't lost my faith in humanity totally.
Potato has the most gorgeous eyes! It appears they were perfectly matched to his fur! I cant recall seeing grey eyes on a cat but Potato has them and they are perfect! I have had several and still have feral cats or cats that were once someone’s pet but no arrangements made for their care when owner can not and so many rude thoughtless kids or relatives would sooner dump them on the street than god forbid look to their care. Until they find themselves in need and get the very same excuses. We reap what we sow. I too have found time and love is the cure for most every troubled animal. I have had cats afraid to come out from hiding for months except for at night time when they felt safe or safer. Surprisingly there are actually people who think one day is enough to acclimate to completely new surroundings again for everyone and everything except themselves. No cure for stupid. Time and love and on the animals time table not ours.
Animals are also living beings NOT OBJECTS, they also know what is love, suffering, hunger, thirst, pain, cold, fear and deserve love, security, respect. Cats do not ask for abuse rather give true love from those who appreciate cats for their spiritual capabilities. May those who abused this cat (if found) be charged and jailed to the highest levels. Typically people make fun of angry cats in videos, but seldom ever stop to find out why they are so angry and suspicous of human beings. I am a human being and i am sometimes suspicous of other humans. If all the experience a cat has of interacting with humans is being brutalised when he or she needs help, you do not have to be Einstein to understand why he/she is suspicous and always angry. It concerns me when a young child thinks it is fun to hit an animal with such force that he cries out in pain. I have seen children chasing a poor exhausted mummy cat as a form of fun, with their parents watching without interrupting. I'm so sorry this cat was abused just a few miles from where I live, but so glad it turned out well in the end, thanks to that woman who saved him.
