Hi Chloe, been watching you for a little while. Two things that really got me to keep coming back. 1. That you do the mods yourself. I am a 60 year old man with pretty extensive metal fabrication skills and I still find it pretty cool to see you doing them. 2. Your cool and spotless garage. I know it may seem dumb but I often see people doing videos and their garages are awful. I will keep watching and seeing you do more mods on this truck. I even watch all the commercials so you get full, credit. Keep it up! 😊
She is an engineer, I used to be an electronic technician, who worked closely with the Hardware engineers, they are a different breed. Meticulous and very organized.
That's not a truck. It's a business. Brand new truck of a new generation. She's getting in first with the sponsors of all the brand new aftermarket gear that no one has seen yet. That truck is going to pay for itself and more demoing aftermarket gear.
Chloe, those tow points look great! You could just offer them with and without powder coat. So fun to watch a young entrepreneur have a great idea and execute it. Maybe do a kick starter! Way to go.😀
which dongar adapter did you get? I have a '24 Hybrid TRD Pro, but I could not be sure and obviously do not want to order until I know if the 10-pin is correct
We are ready to buy a New Tacoma would like a review in future on engine performance, transmission shifting, electrical system. Enjoy your content, and enjoy your your new truck.
Ngl I was just like everyone else saying the price for these Tacomas is insane, but I recently went to the dealer to get my car maintenance on and decided to browse the lot and take a look for myself at these new 4th gen’s. Got the chance to take the off road for a ride and man so much tech and just overall has a nice feel to it. I can see how someone can easily be influenced to make the commitment for this truck you just have to g check it out for yourself to see what it’s about.
I have a 24 offroad and the screen Protech was the first thing I did. I think I replaced the bezel twice on my 3rd gen before I put these screen protectors on best $ spent
David vs Goliath for the size but remember that David wins! but yeah Toyota skimped out on those bed tie downs, they look like dollar hooks from the hardware bin at Home Depot
The ink isn’t dry on the warranty and already modding !! Good move asking the dealer not to wash it. I have swirls, which must be from the dealer b/c I don't swirl.
A high clearance exhaust will be on my list. I plan on getting a long bed TRD off road in bronze oxide. Excited to see more mods for your truck. Thanks for the video!
As much as I like the look of those Tie Downs.... $400 is bananas for simple anodized aluminum parts. I spent less than that on a Builtright molle bedside rack system with fasteners.
What you’re calling “recovery points” are actually freight tie-down points for when these vehicles are transported to the dealership. They WILL NOT handle a snatch or winch. Adding load rated recovery points is what every off road enthusiast should do to avoid vehicle damage and/or personal injury should these tie-down points fail. Now I’m off (AGAIN) to spend more money on the remote power plug adapter. Once again you’ve proved me a liar when I say I am done modding my 2nd Gen!!
Hello! Great content!! Love the passion when working, respect that a lot! Suggestion as a fellow DIYer hahahaha, get a 3D printer for test fitting parts so you can leave expensive materials for the final product. When engineering parts this has helped me a lot.
If you leave the recovery points bare you will get galvanic corrosion due to the interface of steel lower reinforcement and bolts with the aluminum. Should do a clear coat or some type of anodizing/powdercoat to prevent the bare dissimilar metals from interacting. Also being a turbocharged engine, should look into what oil catch cans are available and it'll keep your intake cleaner as you won't be introducing oil and sunburnt particulate back into the intake and combustion cycle.
Well, if you use the Integrated Dash Cam from Toyota there is a plug already in place. Just plug it in and get parking mode and running mode. So, yeh that would be nice from aftermarket adapters.
Nice work on the billet tow hooks. It's great to have access to a cnc mill. Best investment is a 3d printer. Make prototypes before milling aluminum material.
I would like to see a video comparing the GEN 4 to the GEN 3 back door and back passenger space as well as length of bed with tailgate down and up please. The back passenger space on the GEN four looks smaller than the GEN three as well as the back bed of the GEN four compared to the three.
I think I’m gonna wait a year or two and then see what happens. They need to fix the transmission problem. I am a Toyota fan no doubt love the cars love the trucks.
Hi Chloe! Congratulations on your new Taco 4Gen! 🎉 So happy for you! I’m waiting on my Pro to come in! Are you planning on putting on a new front bumper w/ wench? Very interested if so. ❤
Chloe, yes a detailed review of dash cams would be appreciated. I have a 2022 Tundra. The Toyota dash cam was an option so the wiring is already behind the rear view mirror cover.
Enjoyed the video and patiently waiting for the Dongar dash adaptor with parking mode. My first 24 Tacoma off-road mod was a front cup holder insert. The sides get scratched with metal cups.
Do another TRD front skid plate. They're on backorder at the dealerships though because eBay sellers have snapped them all up and are upcharging for them.
I have to admit I was not thrilled by the new 'styling' of this Gen 4 design, but after getting a closer look at yours it's definitely growing on me... As for the aluminum recovery pieces they do look great but in the back of my head I can't help thinking that aluminum is not as strong as steel so for a part that would literally have to handle the full weight of the truck not to mention the extra stress of maybe being winched out of a 'dicey' situation wouldn't steel be better??? But then I'm not an engineer so you tell me. I am eager to watch you 'build up' your new truck as you did your 2019, I know you'll do a great job of it!!!
The 2024 Tacoma actually has an OEM dashcam connector meant for the OEM dashcam so you don't even need to tap into the mirror connector if you get the right adapter.
BG44K is expensive…worth every penny .. Can be use at every oil change , some do it once a year.. BG44K send me a reply ..every 5,000 is OK too… Use this in high mileage or older vehicles…you will notice a smoother running motor, even quieter too…
It's not a bad idea. I have a 23 Tundra i-Force MAX, but i plugged it into the OBD instead because I prefer to keep it running as a sentry. Still, Garmin dash is pretty good. I have the newer one, and the only thing I'll do is blacken the red indicator lights so people can't tell if it's recording or not.
On the recovery hooks, I'm so frugal (aka cheap), I'd likely just remove the OEM hooks; paint them red; then reinstall (done). Or else I'd leave them black and do nothing to 'em.
Like the front tow points. Left in the white looks good matching the Toyota emblem. However, anodized or powder coat to match the red would look good, too. Flip of the coin. If you make another set, machine your logo into it. Add them to your merchandise store. [Design a pair for the rear as well]
Make sure to run the strength calcs. Steel is way stronger than aluminum so u need to be mindful of the geometry to ensure adequate robustness. Could become projectile!
EXACTLY! That was my first thought especially with the mounting holes being off center a little bit. I think Chloe is an engineer by education so if she did run the numbers and this was the design, then major kudos to her as I think the design itself is more attractive than what is out in the market for 4th Gen right now. This girl never fails to impress!
All looks GREAT Chloe, and who gives a Rats A** about what anyone else thinks about whatever You Decide to do to your truck ( Tow Hooks ) ... When they start making payments on it then that can run their mouth,,, 🙂
Love the new truck! I’ve got the 2024 as well. It is the same color and blackout package except it’s only the SR5. Anyway my point is if you could dash cam review would be great!
Amazing job on those tow hooks! One thing I would like to point out: Make sure the bolts get enough thread engagement. I noticed your new design is beefy and the original bolts may not be long enough.
Tow hooks are not the same as rated recovery points. The Toyota owner’s manual states that they are emergency tow points and referred to as “Emergency Towing Eyelets”. These are not designed for use as an off-road recovery point where shock loading your d-rings or soft shackles will occur. These points are not rated, and are only there for when the vehicle is being delivered as a new car, or in the case of an accident, to be towed or tied down to a tow truck bed. Rated recovery points are manufactured from high grade 20mm steel plate for maximum strength and durability and bolt to the frame with high tensile bolts that will not break when recovering a badly stuck vehicle. If you don't use rated recovery points, there is the chance the "tow hooks" could break sending metal flying at high speed and injure someone or damage your truck. By the way, when you are designing a prototype you first build the part out of cardboard or plywood then after you have the shape perfect then you place the cardboard template on metal, trace around it and cut it out. It is a standard in automotive repair/customization to use cardboard when replacing sheet metal that is damaged/rusty or designing brackets for the engine compartment, etc.
Not crazy about the tow mounts, worried about durability with off set wholes and how it will affect the use. I don’t know anything about it though just something I thought about.
I know you recently asked about the loose glove box cover... if it was by design or a defect... definitely a defeat (uneven gaps thru out the truck and loose covers) the first gen tacos have multiple flaws to be corrected.
Hi Chloe, been watching you for a little while. Two things that really got me to keep coming back. 1. That you do the mods yourself. Key flex statement, “ because I have access to a CNC machine “ 🤣🤣🤣
She’s a smart lady, the content is paying the truck. Love it.🤙💯
I bought a screen protector for my third gen using Chloe’s code. One of the best things I’ve done to my truck.
We should have had a lottery to see how long it would take before you put on your first mod. LOL.
'Twas only a matter of time 🤣
That's not a truck. It's a business. Brand new truck of a new generation. She's getting in first with the sponsors of all the brand new aftermarket gear that no one has seen yet. That truck is going to pay for itself and more demoing aftermarket gear.

I watched this and finally caved. I bought my 24 off-road in Ice Cap today!
which dongar adapter did you get? I have a '24 Hybrid TRD Pro, but I could not be sure and obviously do not want to order until I know if the 10-pin is correct
Got mine and it's been less than a week! Loving it so far. My first taco!
Congratulations once again, so excited for you those simple modifications are pretty nice , gives it personal touch. Enjoyed the video great content.
We are ready to buy a New Tacoma would like a review in future on engine performance, transmission shifting, electrical system. Enjoy your content, and enjoy your your new truck.
Awesome video! Love the easy mods to kick things off on the new Tacoma :D
Good looking truck. Hard work pays off. Congrats, Chloe. 💯 🌮
Love those recovery points, great job👍
Congrats on the new Toy, Nice mods so far. The recovery hooks look GREAT!
Ngl I was just like everyone else saying the price for these Tacomas is insane, but I recently went to the dealer to get my car maintenance on and decided to browse the lot and take a look for myself at these new 4th gen’s. Screenprotech is legit! The satin/anti-glare has the perfect look on my Colorado.
I have a 24 offroad and the screen Protech was the first thing I did. I think I replaced the bezel twice on my 3rd gen before I put these screen protectors on best $ spent
LOVE IT!!
Those first mods look very clean Chloe. I like the tow points especially. Anodizing them to match the Chavonia tie downs would look sharp.
David vs Goliath for the size but remember that David wins! but yeah Toyota skimped out on those bed tie downs, they look like dollar hooks from the hardware bin at Home Depot
Love your new Tacoma, congratulations! 🎉👍🏻
speaking of crazy road instances i remember when you ran over spay foam, that is a pain to remove
Congrats on your new purchase. I remember your DIY maintenance with your last Taco! Keep up the great work!
I have those first two mods on my gen3 and they are awesome.
The ink isn’t dry on the warranty and already modding !!
Good move asking the dealer not to wash it. I have swirls, which must be from the dealer b/c I don't swirl.
19:53 my thought was Breast Cancer awareness month in October and the 4th Gen is the raffles prize.
A high clearance exhaust will be on my list. I plan on getting a long bed TRD off road in bronze oxide. Excited to see more mods for your truck. Thanks for the video!
I like the tow hooks 👍
Mod monday: new transmission 😂😂😂
As much as I like the look of those Tie Downs.... $400 is bananas for simple anodized aluminum parts. I spent less than that on a Builtright molle bedside rack system with fasteners.

You did a very good job with the tow hooks. 🔥 But also dont forget that it looks like you need bolts about half inch longer than factory . 🔥
Nice work on the billet tow hooks. It's great to have access to a cnc mill. Best investment is a 3d printer. Make prototypes before milling aluminum material.
Congrats on your first 4th Gen Mod video!!! Can't wait to check out your 4th Gen Rig at whatever cool SD event you'll make it out too.
I would like to see a video comparing the GEN 4 to the GEN 3 back door and back passenger space as well as length of bed with tailgate down and up please. The back passenger space on the GEN four looks smaller than the GEN three as well as the back bed of the GEN four compared to the three.
Cool first set of mods! Looking forward to the cost discussion as I'm considering a Tacoma purchase.
I think I’m gonna wait a year or two and then see what happens. They need to fix the transmission problem. I am a Toyota fan no doubt love the cars love the trucks.
I also installed a dashcam after I got my new truck (GMC Canyon). Gotta watch out for the crazies on the road!
Awesome color!
congratulations!!🎉
Here’s to the many new dope videos to come for the new taco👍🏼🤙🏽
I’m pretty good with a wrench but I sure could use your help with the tech side .
Nice! Didn't think I'd have so much anticipation following someone's mod journey
I was about to look up screen protectors. I put one on the main screen but I wanted to cover everything. Definitely going to buying those.
Yeah checked them out might get some they have my vehicle.
I got the Dongar and the Garmin on your recommendation.
The TRD Sport trim comes with a front dash
Enjoyed the video and patiently waiting for the Dongar dash adaptor with parking mode. My first 24 Tacoma off-road mod was a front cup holder insert. The sides get scratched with metal cups.
Are you going to put a V6 in it????? Chloe keeps the killer videos coming :)
Thanks for recommending Screen Protech! I’ve been searching for a good brand to prevent scratches. I just purchased an order
You won’t be disappointed. I also have Screen Protech and so does a friend and we both are very happy with it.
Beautiful Truck👏
Same truck same mods so far. Keep them coming !!
got my bronze oxide sport at toyota carlsbad too! 😎
Do another TRD front skid plate. They're on backorder at the dealerships though because eBay sellers have snapped them all up and are upcharging for them.
I know you mentioned upgrade to the TRD cool air intake. Can’t wait to see that and where you end up getting it. I can’t find it anywhere
Congrats on the 4th gen. Years ahead of the 3rd gen! Time to get rid of the 3rd gen; ancient history.

Such a beautiful truck. Congratulations! I want the exact same model and color, it’s my dream. I hope to get it after I get my masters degree.
First mod will always be tint hahaha
Awesome job on the tow hooks, Bare aluminum looks good, I would go with that.
Massive truck. Seen one new one on the road and was very much surprised by the size of the machine.
BG44K is expensive…worth every penny ..
Can be use at every oil change , some do it once a year..
BG44K send me a reply ..every 5,000 is OK too…
Use this in high mileage or older vehicles…you will notice a smoother running motor, even quieter too…
just bought the sport version, same color. Love it. Looking forward to your ideas on mods

Still, Garmin dash is pretty good. I have the newer one, and the only thing I'll do is blacken the red indicator lights so people can't tell if it's recording or not.
Curious to see how long that bedliner lasts under stress and over time. Great post!
On the recovery hooks, I'm so frugal (aka cheap), I'd likely just remove the OEM hooks; paint them red; then reinstall (done). Or else I'd leave them black and do nothing to 'em.
I think those look good and I hate chrome myself! Nice work on the design I like the 2nd prototype.
I'd recommend a tempered glass screen protector over a plastic film. Just feels better to the touch. At least for the main display.
Congrats can’t wait to see your mods
I need those tow hooks in champagne bronze!!
Like the front tow points. Left in the white looks good matching the Toyota emblem. However, anodized or powder coat to match the red would look good, too. Flip of the coin. If you make another set, machine your logo into it. Add them to your merchandise store. [Design a pair for the rear as well]
For next time when you’re cleaning your screen and your cluster, do you want to use a super flush microfiber towel? So it doesn’t scratch.
Congratulations, I’m so happy and excited for you!
Chloe Kuo Brand Tacoma products when! ❤
Why doesn’t the truck come with recovery points stock?
I believe the dash cam powers off when the vehicle is off, when using that adapter. You have to hard wire for it to be on all the time
I would like your take on dash cams! - Thanks
Make sure to run the strength calcs. Steel is way stronger than aluminum so u need to be mindful of the geometry to ensure adequate robustness. Could become projectile!

Tow hooks look nice just the way they are
Dash cam a must👍🏿 nice install with the easy to use adapter
Sweet new truck and mods! I like the custom designed tow hooks too!
I'm not a Toyota or a Tacoma person, so idk why I keep getting recommended your videos lmao. Congrats on the truck though!
Still rocking my Gen 2!!!
Are you planning to add windows tinting on your mods checklist too?
Amazing job on those tow hooks!
One thing I would like to point out: Make sure the bolts get enough thread engagement. I noticed your new design is beefy and the original bolts may not be long enough.
ok, bud LMAO
Check out Trail tailor, they make tow recovery points for Land Cruisers. The ones on the LC200 look identical to yours.
GM CK I Love That Color Enjoy Your New Ride GBU And Family And Crew Always Stay Safe 🙏❤️🌹
The down side of buying a new generation is the aftermarket market for mods are not readily available. So you have to wait till something comes out
Interested to see what meso customs comes out with for the 4th gens!
Tow hooks are not the same as rated recovery points. The Toyota owner’s manual states that they are emergency tow points and referred to as “Emergency Towing Eyelets”. Love the video. Fun to see you develop the tow hooks. Looking forward to seeing the future mods.
Not crazy about the tow mounts, worried about durability with off set wholes and how it will affect the use. I don’t know anything about it though just something I thought about.
What a sweetheart
Great content. I'm definitely getting the Dongar dash cam adapter.
I know you recently asked about the loose glove box cover... if it was by design or a defect... definitely a defeat (uneven gaps thru out the truck and loose covers) the first gen tacos have multiple flaws to be corrected.
Great information! Picked up my 24 TRD OR Saturday
What made you go with this one rather than waiting for the hybrid version?
I thought the D-ring tie downs in the bed were supposed to swivel after installation?
We wanna see you jump this thing Chole, ain’t nobody got time for these mods hahaha I kid! Seriously though, let’s see this puppy fly! 🤣👊🏽
