Slava the Armorsmith makes a Mandalorian Helmet reimagined as a medieval piece of armor. Using a blend of historical construction and some modern elements we answer the question, what if Star Wars took place on Earth in our past and what the weapons and armor of the Star Wars and the Mandalorian would look like if it did. ‪@ArmorySmith‬ is making a full suit of steel Mandalorian armor. This is they way! Do you want to see more? Do you think that we will see a Mandalorian in Obi Wan season 2?

    For Those of you complaining about Slava's fun cuts in the edit and even going as far as to thumb down the video, I think you are missing the brilliance in him doing so. You see he showed you every process that goes into the metal forming at least once. In our videos we don't show repetitive processes in a video we simply cut it out after showing it once and move on. Instead of just editing processes out and cutting it from the film, he found a cleaver way of doing it that was fun and didn't subtract from the learning process. So you didn't lose anything, you just gained some clever and hard to pull of cuts that went with the Star Wars theme of the video. Please rethink your thumbs down or negative thoughts. I get that it's not for everyone, but pulling those cuts off the way he did was nothing short of brilliance and shows a tone of forethought. -Matt

    According to Legends, when a Mandalorian coloured their armour according to the traditional meanings, gold was said to symbolise vengeance. I think that's rather appropriate. An awesome build by Slava, now I wonder if maybe you should make a 'historical' Darksaber to go along with it!

    • @ThatWorks

    • @AlasdairGR
      @AlasdairGR Рік тому +1

      The only time we ever see Beskar ever have a damascus pattern is when it's in ingot form in "The Mandalorian." Every other example Beskar armor or weapons we see are portrayed as either plain polished steel or painted. Is it worth the tremendous amount of work to turn a pattern welded billet into sheets, and then all the work to create the armor on top of that? Can you even shape damascus into sheet form without ruining the pattern?

      @@AlasdairGR You can draw it out into a billet so I don't see why not. The pattern would be pretty changed from its original state but it would still exist. Once you etched it, it would still definitely show a pattern, maybe a bit stretched out from the pattern the same process would make on a blade...
