I believe the Beef Tournedos were cook seared with butter/herbs/salt/blk-pepper, then again cooked Sous Vide cooking it all the way thru, leaving it still raw look❤❤❤❤
Aww this video was special because I have a lovely memory of eating at the Cafe de la Paix years ago, and I ate the French onion soup and I also remember the profiteroles being delicious! It was a very special event because my mum has a close friend who is a well-renowned choreographer, so we saw his ballet at the Garnier (and even explored backstage in the basement of the theatre!) and then after the performance after midnight (after hours at the restaurant) we had a wonderful meal to celebrate the performance.

I always wondered about that place. Thought it would be tourist trap. Good to know it lives up to the hype - a great pre-opera/ballet option!

My wife and I ate at Café de la Paix last year and had a disappointing meal. However, everything you’re having looks fabulous. We definitely need to give it another try. Thanks.
Oh what did you eat ? Yes maybe we were lucky but the main courses were incredible !
Dans les annees 90 mon ami et moi nous nous sommes y installes a l'exterior pour un cafe et des mille feuilles.
It's too rich for my blood. But looks like a gorgeous space. I found more value--and charm--in neighborhood bistros.

I see the Wikipedia article on the Swiss chalet style is completely wrong, they too claim this style originated in Switzerland and Germany, but this is wrong! The Swiss chalet style has its origins from Paris and French architecture philosophers, I hope «Beauty & Ugliness in Architecture 2024» soon will post their lectures on UA-cam, so that you can see this lecture by yourself!

60 Euro for a dessert! It's nice, but I like the Jugend interior of Kavárna Obecní dům in Prague better, and there were really reasonable prices🙂 We'll find an ordinary cafe at Montmartre instead;-)

I went there for pastries but not for the full meal !
