Good choice Dave. I have been ridding for some 5 decades and have had some of the best/exciting machines. With age, I have found there is only ONE choice out there anymore. It is the RS 660.
It still makes you smile, that’s the important thing! You can do a test ride on the Street Triple and compare it with the Aprilia.Nearly 6.5k subs and rising. Glad you enjoyed the holiday. Be well and ride safe.
Glad you took your time and came up to same decision that I would have👍👍. In time the RS will move on to its next owner but for now she still brings smiles and that's what counts. Andy, "TMF" , brought me to your videos and the both of you are my favorites. Looking forward to the next episode. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
I knew all along that you where going to keep it, that's why I didn't comment on the other video.😉 TMF knew it too I'm sure😂😂. Excellent decision, she's a keeper.👍😎🏍🐸
My perspective has changed as I get older and look realistically on how many years I'm likely to be able to ride. As the window begins to close I realize there are so many other bikes I want to ride before I can't ride anymore. The time I keep bikes no matter how good is shorter today than it would have been ten or 20 years ago.
Jebus Dave, keep it family friendly lol.Glad you've decided to keep it. I haven't done a track day in over 20 years, but its probably the best place to enjoy our sports bikes, id be terrified of dropping it though. I have been thinking of moving on the Blade next year as it may consume my license on these lovely twisty roads we have on our doorstep but it puts such a smile on my face every time I take it out.
Awesome you have had time to reflect and make a decision. It is hard when you don't have time to ride a bike as much as you want, but I think you have a more interesting bike than the Triumph, not that there is a single thing wrong with the 765, but the RS660 has so much more character than the Triumph. Enjoy the trackday, I def can agree that vlogging, socialising and doing a trackday all at the same time is a bit much, I've had so much more fun on track when I've not vlogged them as there are always camera issues to contend with, and you need your mind focussed on the riding and enjoying rather than the cameras and the recording!
Think most would agree Mike, that difficult decisions are best “ slept on”. Even better still, your being in a neutral environment for three weeks, allowed you to make every possible evaluation, reflection, consideration etc, with minimal distraction. That said, seeing the acid good RS 660 parked up every day, may have impacted on your subconsciousness, given that a bikes appearance is a major factor for you. Still, you’ve done it, for the current time your sticking with it. Congratulations. Mines currently in bits as I’m cutting crash protectors. Enjoy the remaining summer riding. Martyn.
Hi mate, Right I have had a hell of a lot of bike's and I love my rs660 the most, but more importantly for you I cam from a 2020 STRS yes straight line the triumph is faster and it's an easy bike to ride fast. However I used to get off it look back and think it is just lacking in looks. One test ride on the rs660 and I was sold and traded in the STRS. The aprilla is so much more involving and more of an occasion when you ride it. I also just sit and stare at it. I personally think u have made the correct decision
Glad you're keeping it. Can you tell me what riding pants these are you're wearing in this video, or are they just basic jeans? Love the boots too! Thanks.
Thanks Mister. The jeans and boots are both Alpine Stars. They seem to always fit my sizing perfectly unlike other brands. The jeans have removeable hip and knee protectors and are really comfortable.
Great video. What is the name of the alpine star shoe your using. Also I currently on a 21 Ducati super sport I’m looking to trade it for either the Tuono 660 or the RS 660. What are your thoughts on that as well?
Hi, I’ve made a few videos on this and also test rode the Tuono. I prefer the RS660 all day long for looks and the bars are still m quite high so it’s very comfortable.
nice video, i got this bike around 1 month ago and have only made 1 video on it so far, initially i wasnt a massive fan due to the ergonomics but now im 400 miles in im starting to enjoy it. I wouldnt trade it for the street triple unless it was the RR, thats quite a comfy sports bike, my problem with this rs660 is im 6ft3 and im too snug on it
Oh at your height I can imagine it tests your flexibility. Even at 5'8" its a little snug. I Love that RR btw, I was at the Birmingham NEC motorbike show before last Xmas and that was my bike of the show. I made a vid about it somewhere on this channel if you want to give it a gander?.....
@@WheelieGoodTV sure ill give it a watch, yes that triumph rr is so beautiful especially seeing it in person. Just got back from a long 2 hr ride this morning on the rs660, a very fun bike to be fair, it is squashed but when im on a straight i flick the cruise control on and sit up and put my hands on my knees which makes me comfy for 30 seconds and reduced the wrist strain etc. think my next bike will be a suzuki gsxrs1000gt, more upright and comfortable for my body type
What you should have said Dave is you spent the first week of holiday making your decision, the second week happy in your choice and the third week wishing you were home to throw your leg over the bike for a spin every time you walked past the Spanish one you seen lol
Yeehaw!!!! She stays. And another track day, awesome!! Check out Dave Moss tuning. He can help you tune your suspension to you which will make track days more fun. He can help you do this remotely as well. Check out his UA-cam channel and website. Very educational.
Yes! Wise choice. If you could only have 1 bike, or even 2, maybe the RS660 wouldn’t be one because it doesn’t make a ton of sense. But if we all chose bikes based on practicality or economics we’d all have Honda NC750s or Versys 650s. But we buy bikes to put a smile on our faces and be a little stupid. Cheers!
In my previous comment I also said "If you don't agree with the above then that shows your heart is actually still in it so keep her." It was deliberately provocative to dig down and see what your heart felt. 😉 Being on holiday and not riding but seeing "your" bike daily would certainly increase the desire. I'm delighted you've mad the decision that's right for you 👍
Good decision, I’m glad you’re keeping it. Such a beautiful motorcycle.
YES! I think you made the right decision and now I can continue to ride vicariously through your videos. Lol!
I was waiting for your response bud!👍
@@WheelieGoodTV That’s awesome. A good you tuber appreciates their fans and I can tell that you really do. Thanks for all you put out for us to watch!

Right Choice.

Good call!

Oh yes.😜👍
Glad you were able to work out your dilemma Dave, I enjoyed the footage of the bike during your ride 👍
Thanks Paul.

Thanks bud. I have some good trips planned on her now, as well as the track day.

Lets do the track day together at Mondello as I'm also terrified of dropping mine!
That's the right decision Dave, I don't know if I would be comfortable on the Triumph. 😂
Thanks Peter, I’m really happy she’s staying.👍🏍
Great news mate it makes you smile 😀😀😀
Good choice Dave. I'm LOVING mine ❤
Thanks Russell, I'm back in love again!

Thanks mate, we might get a track day organised in the UK one of these days for a few of us motovloggers? That’ll be some craic!
@@WheelieGoodTV it would be fun, shame The GorillaBiker is moving from Ireland to the USA
My Tuono 660 is in the garage having a new cylinder head and all sorts and has been there 3 weeks so I’m considering selling already, 2.5k in.
Oh that's not good. Sorry to hear that Oli.

Good to know man ! Same bike, same enjoyment! btw....same height too...thus, what boots are you using with RS to gain some cm extra? thanks

I've just sold my beloved fjr1300 after 14years 🙄 But I'm really glad that the guy that has it now is as OCD as myself 🤣
That always make it easier. My FJR also went to a similar man.
Wise decision Dave!
Hi Hugo, I don't know why I even questioned it? Hey ho.
The street triple RS in the new carbon Black with bronze wheels is delicious, much better bike imo than the Aprilia banana
Yep its defo very sexy, but I still prefer the flying banana looks wise. I'm purposely not gonna test ride the new STRS just incase.....
