For those who always wondered how I made this from the beginning and asking me for a tutorial - No, you were never forgotten, I've thought about this tutorial for a good while and now I decided to make a simplified version of my original one, just to show how simple this cool simulator is to make :) Enjoy guys, stay tuned for more videos!
i used to make these a lot when i was young, but i used jelly jars and bottles, and just to give some tips from my experiments: if you add just the right amount of dish soap it will make a simulated white funnel cloud from the bubbles, plus if you move the stirrer to the side it will make the vortex into a curved S shape like real tornadoes do.
Get a large box, fill it with sand and water and make a mech to move it and add detail houses of cardboard using a weak adhesive. That is your ultimate simulation.
I'm amazed that that TINY motor can make such a vortex in such a huge vase! I got similar motors at home, and they almost stalled when the circulation blades were inserted into the water in a MASON JAR.
I got mine down about 4 days ago, anyways thanks for teaching me how to make my own!!! I appreciate it. I used your technique with some changes to it and it seemed to work fine! Thanks!
@@TylerSmith_WX I don’t remember what the parts are called but I used a small motor, had a small switch that would turn it on and off, I used a lego brick to attach to the end of the motor, then it also used a small battery pack, and got a medium sized cylinder shaped glass container for the tornado to be in. All of these materiel I got at a arts and craft shop. I’m sorry that I do not remember the name of each individual part.
@@aiden6354 thx! I bought a milk frother, same thing he uses. I took the dc motor out of it and am going to solder it to a ac to dc regulates power adapter. (I just looked up wall mount volt adapter lol) seems pretty simple if you know how to work around stuff I guess but im spending a ton on supplies to test out
Thanks, Mike! I love your content too... I hope you are ok and I would love to see you get back out there this summer doing more awesome sasquatch / tree person expeditions!
wanted to do this for a project, then the more i looked at this the more i realized i didn't know what any of these are and what they are used for. . .
@@IAA015 I'll use a stronger motor, as I'm out of those tiny toy motors (like those in your frother). Also mine is more powerful and faster (3,050 RPM!) It runs on 24V, but I'll make this only as a desktop contraption, so power is fine.
Adam SK/EN thats a solution.. but keep in mind you dont really need a strong motor(unless the tank is big) Id suggest something that can regulate the speed of the motor as well👍 And if you’re not happy with the sand... go to the pet store or s store that sell aquariums. Thats where I find the finer grit sands!
@@IAA015 I can adjust the speed of the motor, as I'm connecting it to a variable bench power supply. My model is a lot smaller (mason jar size) It should look nice on my desktop.
Well, look at me, old me! I finally got to making it, and it works, but I need to improve it significantly. I don't have a frother, but some tiny fan from a bad mixer motor. I also bit the bullet and got some terrarium sand, which is finer, but still quite coarse. To really get the beauty of this, I should do it in a big jar or even a long vase like you did.
The spinny thing is known as a frother, it makes your coffee creamy. But you can make your own blades and use a bigger, faster motor, and you might get an EF9 tornado inside :)
How easy way if the water is sand and black just wait for 10 mins or 5 mins and no no break coffee mixer just put of water woala u got tornado sand water easyest way
Wow..you s high ow how to do it.but with no voice..how do ppl know what to really get.how to set the things u were twisting with the screws..smh..good job not explaining and replacing what should have been you're voice with music

Great thanks
IAA015 what glass container did you use
What are the parts?
IAA015 how wide is the glass
Give us a list of the parts so we could build it for ourselves and love making tornadoes
This form of tornado machine needs to be more popularized, it's amazing.

good job thanks for you video

what are the specs of the glass vase?
simulation shows like tornados has tentacles
What container did you use?
did you use quartz sand?
Can you use play sand that has been put through a 2mm strainer?
Sure, but be prepared it might not be as detailed. The finer sand, the better result!
