  • Somewhere in the middle of Trans Siberian journey there is one of the most spectacular tourist railways in the world, Cirkum Baikal Railway. During your half a day journey you will see some of the most spectacular views of Lake Baikal.
I believe that many of you haven't heard about this railway line, but it is on Forbes list of best railway journeys in the world. I was a bit sceptic about it, but it is truly enjoyable.
Rather you love railways or not, I highly recommend you to take a look and leave your impressions.
If you have any other comments please leave it bellow. I would very appreciate if you give your suggestions about some unusual railways or either train to experience.

Nice video. Nice aerial views. Those are pine nuts you were eating. Squirrels love them. Minor grammar point: in english, 'circum-' means 'around', as in circumference, from Latin. This is not a 'circum-Baikal' railway - it would have to go all the way around Baikal to be 'circum-'. This is a short line, along just a small part of the total lake shore. I was in Listvyanka, Slyudyanka and Port Baikal (by barge) about 4 years ago, but was told the train in your video only runs about 3-4 days a week. I read that originally, this line was intended to go on to Irkutsk along the Angara river, but the route along the river was too difficult, so they built the line up over the mountains, along the present route. Do you know that originally, before the line along the lakeshore was completed, they laid tracks on the ice during the winter to cross Baikal.... I also enjoyed your video about track gauge. Cheers, best wishes.

@@AnandRaj-ho8nn Thanks, I will check that one. Well, regarding TS railway, I would definetely go in summer (May-October). It is much easier to have stops in cities when it's not too cold. Even though lake Baikal is very nice in winter, it is also great in summer. All my videos from TS railway, as well as Cirkum Baikal were in September and it weather was perfect honestly. If you are interested about costs, there is one cool video where I explain all the costs in detail. Hope this helps! 👍
