Oh the irony of posting a video about reducing social media use on a social media platform.
I really do hope that this gets you thinking about your own digital technology use and helps you take a step back and take a moment to figure out the things that make you truly happy ✨

Hey arnaud! Super glad you enjoyed the video - although I didn't name it part II, this video is the direct continuation: ua-cam.com/video/3oXRexQkFk4/v-deo.html&ab_channel=henrijulien
I hope you find it as useful as the first!

Hey man, great video. The most difficult thing as a creator is to balance posting your content with consuming content. There’s some irony here too. I don’t want to perpetuate the problem for other people but I want to keep posting my work.
Lately I’ve been pretty bad consuming social media, so thanks for shedding light on it. I’m working on building better habits now. Can’t wait until your next video!!

      Yeah man, 100% agree.
As a creator, there's definitely an internal conflict to grapple with. A major part of my success will inevitably be highly dependent on people watching or appreciating my work through social media. However, I genuinely think that people should be more aware of their use, and probably spend less time on UA-cam and other platforms in general.
The way I'm currently dealing with this point of tension is to try and actively work against some of the manipulative patterns that the algorithms encourage creators to take, and try to get people to question how they are interacting with digital media and try and give people tools and encouragement to find fulfillment in their own life.
I think at the end of the day it is about finding balance. But, it's almost impossible to find balance when you have the scale weighted against you. Removing digital technologies from your life for 30 days gives you that needed clarity to properly define operating procedures around social media use that actually benefit your life rather than chronically impede and distract you from moments of true satisfaction.
