Job- is a perfect testimony for my family. We had a near perfect life and everything was going easy. God gifted us with a new baby that was born with a liver disease and needed a transplant. From there work slowed, fiancés are tough. And we are still trying to cope and deal daily with this. With gods hands we will make it to the next chapter and the blessing will return

It’s 100% ok to feel the way you do, but just remember we aren’t lead by our feelings and they sometimes lie to us. It’s ok to question God and to not understand what He’s allowed. Your questioning doesn’t change the amount of love He has for you! And a lot of the time, those questions draw us closer to Him!

I am just now starting this and so in love with all the knowledge and learning! You mentioned in 42:10 where Israelite law required a thief to pay back double! Satan was the thief in this story and God showed love and mercy on Job and returned double of what was taken! So amazing ❤
I’ve always had a hard time accepting that Job eventually died a happy man, despite all of that loss. I have 3 children and if they tragically passed, I wouldn’t be able to see having more children as replacements for the loss that occurred prior. Job’s new children brought new happiness, but I can imagine that the grief always remains to some extent. I will continue to pray for understanding about this because my heart goes out to anyone who has lost a child. They are irreplaceable - even if blessed with more beautiful children. ❤
Before I continue, because I got in my flesh for a second, I want to thank you for doing what you do. It is hard work to be a mother, and to even continue our own relationship with our heavenly father and learn his word on our own, but it’s another thing to teach it and have a family and a job and all you do!!! Trusting that He will take care of a situation, being reminded that I need intercede for others and not seek vengeance. The end of Job 42 also shows Job's generosity and how God, and His Word, values women. It was unheard of at that time for women to be named in genealogies at all, let alone for them to be the only ones mentioned. Women also didn't get their own inheritances along with the men in the family. At best, they would only get the inheritance if nobody else in their father's family was alive.
