Summerville Steam Special

On Sunday, October 22nd, 2023, a couple of my friends and I got up around 4am and drove to Chattanooga to chase a summerville trip, we had lots of fun and look forward to doing something similar again soon. We did not get back home until 10. 21 hours of being awake, exhausting but rewarding!

Cool Video! I was just watching a video from the 1970's about the Rock Island Rockets, and there was a steam excursion with 4501 doing it from Chicago to Bureau Junction. Glad to see 4501 still operating and in good health! Thanks for sharing video!

Watching the 01 pull some southern excursions is something I always enjoy when going back in time, I have plenty of slides of the ‘01 after restoration. Hope you enjoyed!
