‘Star Wars Outlaws’ in 2024? I have a BAAAD feeling about that!
say what you will to Ubi but their Worlds are pretty good and large scale. Hoping its not as dead. In any case, better than any Bethesda ones.
@@teresmajor7956 I don’t doubt that. I’m just highly skeptical it will be out in the calendar year of 2024.
@@docdaytona108 delays are a good thing. I hope it's delayed
@@williamg7138 yeah! Duke Nukem forever was delayed constantly and that worked out well didn't it?
@alexwinfield9540 Elden Ring was delayed and that worked out well didn't it?
So many niche games came out of nowhere I love it. I hope we get more games like Dave the Diver, or Palworld. Random games that come when you were least expecting it.That rocks the gaming world. That’s cool to me!
I’d call in sick for three days. If Dave the Diver ever comes to XBOX. 🤫
Nope
Dragons Dogma has been in like every list Gameranx has done this year, and it needs to be in twice that many!
Hardly, looks just _alright_ .
M
@@intellectic9155Alright bro I'm gonna have to disagree there. It looks like a more polished version of the first game. And the first game was great. There is already a track record here
It got me to buy the first game on sale for 5 dollars, and it is so awesome
@@intellectic9155 you weren't even born when the first game came out 💀💀💀
Nice overview! Some of those games do look tempting. As a very old gamer I prefer to wait and see before I get too excited.
stalker 2 looks amazing.
HelloGames turned No Man's Sky into a masterpiece and I'm so excited for Light No Fire! I just wish they can do a better combat and storyline content, but I'm sure the exploration side will be AWESOME
Explore and Ubi are incompatiable.
I can't wait to play Dragon's Dogma 2 and the new Elden Ring Dlc, I've also been enjoying Palworld, Helldivers 2 and the last epoch. So many fun games!
👍
Nobody cares
@@Synthsquatchsorry to hear that you're a miserable and sad person :(
@@Synthsquatchand nobody cares about you, either. But we aren't pointing that out, are we?
@@Synthsquatchyou care enough to comment lol
I'm excited to watch a gameranx video super early for once. I love these peeps
2160p 60
Great job guys
Love to see it. Crystal clear.
I’m stoked for Shadow of the Erd Tree!! 🎉
You know what i love about this channel!
The fact that they put the first game on the list from their thumbnail instead of mindlessly waiting for it to show up, really appreciate this small detail!
Love you gameranx!
Really thankful that some videos on the channel are starting to be uploaded in 4K :D
Ghost of Tsushima for PC! That game is beautiful.
yup, it gets released in 9 weeks from today, may 16th can't come soon enough.
@@proffessorXWait, really? Finally!!
@@ivonbeton4725 its on steam now as a pre-order.
About damn time!
Hopefully they didn't take any shortcuts with the PC port. Seems like a lot of PC ports have some problems as of late
2 videos in one day. oh boy.
If I have learned something from playing Ubisoft's open world games games is that they are not about exploration, rather, they're about completing a checklist in a mindless uninspired grind. I'm done with that, thanks.
Okay.
There is no way Outlaws isn't going to be AC Valhalla / Far cry in space. Well said -> I'm done!
Yea, exploration doesn't involve checklist markers all over the map.
I mean they are good games if you choose not to do the mindless uninspired things
I wasn't a fan of AC Valhalla and haven't played Mirage, but Odyssey was an incredible game to explore and absolutely gorgeous with Origins not far behind. If you're more concerned about checklists and all that, that's on you.
thanks for the video and for adding the games names
Glad to see a shoutout for Pacific Drive (and so high on the list too!). Absolutely a game that deserves more attention. I don't know what happened with the Metacritic on that one (I guess some people just really bounced off of it), but it's such an underrated gem of a game.
Performance issues are mostly what hampered it, it's inconsistent 30 fps on ps5 which is pretty bad for 2024. It's a really cool game, I hope they optimize the framerate the game gets a resurgence.
@@misterros94I can understand frustration with performance issues, but I feel like people shouldn’t let themselves be put off by bad fps or graphics, especially with non triple A titles like Pacific Drive. I played the hell out of the game with my 16gb ram laptop even with the 30 and below fps and still enjoyed it despite that
@@misterros94 I dunno about that but I had absolutely zero performance issues on PS5. Ran silky smooth with no slow down. I didn't clock the FPS but it definitely wasn't 30. Maybe people ran it on fidelity mode instead of performance? If that's the case, that is 100 percent on them, since the game looks great even in performance mode. I dunno
Light No Fire is what im most anticipating.
Stalker 2 looks stunning
Ik right? 🔥
Im a huge stalker fan but im still not feeling it.
I fear itll be crap.
@@prezlamen7906huge stalker fan but talks shit about a game that looks immaculate. Ok buddy
@@Lurkspur You seem rather low on iq.
NGL the oblivion mod made the OG stalker a much better game, if the devs actually learned something from that mod then I will be impressed otherwise no
I was actually shocked when you mentioned silksong. I dont regret subscribing 😊
WE GOTTA MENTION SILKSONG EVERY YEAR YESSS
it’s a metrovania type of game though, definitely not open world
Ok Dad
@@balance_breaker7185 That isnt the point of the video. Gameranx have a seperate video on open world games, though yes, its mostly open worlds that are big on exploring. Hollow knight is ABOUT exploring and the big open map that you can explore though ( it is an open world goofus )
drinking game! every time jake says "have to mention"
Well big open world games are fun, but a single player semi-openworld linear experience feels personal
Basically the world needs to be worth re-exploring in light of storyline developments. Having a gigantic world but no narrative growth is boring.
@@dfgyuhddYup agreed. I'm not that into Witcher 3, but one thing I can appreciate was that all their points of interest felt really natural in the world. Somehow interwoven into the story of the world. Really keeps you in the world. Meanwhile I'm playing Hogwarts Legacy and all the Merlin trials and points of interest just feels like it's been randomly thrown on the map just to give players something to do, kind of like a lot of Ubisoft games.
I always hope that the exploration keeps me immersed in the game, and doesn't feel like a chore or something I have to do.
Welcome back
Gameranx double!
That Stalker 2 entry got me thinking about the next Metro game. That's gonna be a sweet one for sure.
Pacific drive surprised me so much. I’ve been totally addicted to it!
Great list! For sure 👍 🔥
I'm really interested in Outlaws and Flintlock so I'll be playing those for sure. Avowed with it being so deep on lore while still on smaller yet larger scale I can definitely see myself working through this one.
Dune Awakening I need to see more to gauge my opinions. ROTR I'm not sure, with projects like Where winds meet and Phantom Blade 0 I'm looking forward to those more and I can hold out for those. And we're already getting DD2 and have FF7 Rebirth so I'll be working my way through those, so it's a fantastic year so far.
Palworld yea i been playing it every day for over a month its highly addictive and they even said they are adding more islands and pals and cant wait for the future
👍
Welcome back.
4k Ready
I’m stoked for Dragon Age Dreadwolf, can’t wait to hop back into Thedas and visit Tiventer.
Star wars outlaws is like a starfield vibe because they say you can go to other planets. I can't wait to play this game.
Thanks jake!
Was about to ignore the video but as soon as I saw [4K] I'm like...naah, can't miss this...
This was a massivly good list!
Falcón hasn’t had a video in a few days he must be on a vacation. I miss him.
Pacific Drive was very fun, I highly recommend if you are a fan of Snowrunner/Mudrunners series
Is it just me or does a lot of the Star Wars Outlaws gameplay look exactly like Starfield
Seriously can not wait for Light No Fire! Hope it drops this year 🤞
Awesome!
as a lover of Herberts Dune who got all way to Bashar Teg... that game looks like Heresy with the land vehicle...Air and Desert Power were Arrakis because ANY ground vibration summoned worms...its why the Fremen had a whole system to walking so they simulated the natural sound of the desert as just walking=nearest worm comes to say Hi which is fine if its intentional and your are going to ride it home...but not so cool the rest of the time...also that should be really interesting if they simulate the dichotomy of the Fremen in the Deep Desert beyond the Shield Wall the Great Sietchs maybe some sandtrout breeding...the occasional vast cistern of water or ecological miracle cave...and then Arrakeen....a sprawling city with everything that comes with it....
seeing star wars outlaws really makes me excited for the potential of a no mans sky style star wars game with some more detailed planets at some point in the future. i dont think its possible at the moment, and probably wont be for a while, but a game where you can choose between one of the many star wars planets to explore is something i need to play
I'm not really into Star Wars, but every time I see Outlaws it looks better and better. I think I'm going to pick it up. There's another called Crimson Desert that I'm waiting to see more of and, of course, I'm going crazy waiting for Elden Ring DLC.
Yeah they’re lying. That garbage company is known to lie without recourse. SWO is going to be traaash. Just like everything from them lately.
Im going to play outlaws i swear if SBI touches more than just the character ill be angry
Yeah, it looks better every video they release. But I'm still gonna be wary about it, since it's still a Ubisoft product.
@@m3lod552 SBI took over Flintlock
it looks terrible, not sure what people see on it
Pacific drive and Dredge awesome. took me back to the days.
I’m never here this early this is cool! 😎
Only really excited for Avowed. I just learned about Flintlock it looks interesting. I’ll keep an eye out for that one
I'll admit it, i love exploring Metropolis in SSKTJL. Rocksteady always put an insane level of detail into the environments
Woah! So this is what it looks like to be early to the comments section. Great video, Jake! I am STOKED for Outlaws.
Pacific drive is so good. It feels different, unique, and that alone refreshing in a gaming world over saturated with AAA series releases and re-releases. Plus, did I mention, it’s just so good!
Dude I want a mad max 2. I loved that game so much
Im waiting so much for Star Wars Outlaws i wish it will have some stealth elements🎉
Unicorn Overlord for sure. I pretty pretty rare that i'll 100% the entire map before going to do the final boss but it just drew me in
Calling Dune a sandbox game is an understatement
A great exploration game was Metro Exodus, although at times it was quite linear there were great moments where you could go explore and feel on edge in certain locations.
I am dying to get my hands on Dragon's Dogma 2. I remember playing DD as a teenager and i was SO bad at it...didnt finish. Played and loved it about a year ago and keep thinking about it.
The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games are closer to the book "Roadside Picnic" because of the oddities that you encounter.
Nice game of words for commenting Dune Awakening. 👏
REALLY want Outlaws to be good. That and Avowed are my most anticipated for 2024. Flintlock wasn’t on my radar until I saw it here, and it’s on my list to check out too. Oh! And I’d load Light No Fire on my Steamdeck if it will run on the hardware. Looks like fun.
I think you missed Nightingale it has over 36 maps to explore
Seriously. They mention Enshrouded, which released not even a month before, and an Elden Ring DLC, but no Nightingale? It's moments like these that make me question the integrity of these channels.
Pacific Drive is soo awsome. Scary but not scary at the same time 👍
I'm stoked for Avowed
Lots to look forward to, getting lost in an open world. TY
I'm sure the star wars game will be a solid AAAA game...
I've got a bad feeling about this...
Really excited for that star wars game.
Just now getting around to bg3 and even though it’s not exactly a game I’d usually be into I’m having a really good time with it. Set it to explorer mode cuz I suck at turn based rpgs
The 1998 Battlezone game was a 3D, FPS/RTS, so you could run and build the bases using first person, then get into tanks, shoot enemy and their bases, jump out go full FPS on enemy players etc. Now imaging that for Dune, which already has a good RTS background.
Urban Assault was a mix of FPS/RTS and it worked flawlessly as well, surely it's less about building bases, but that game was damn amazing.
Too bad we don't have anything like that nowdays.
I wish Dune wasn't an MMORPG however I can't wait for "Star Wars Outlaws"
I’m always looking forward to more Star Wars
Pacific Drive looks great! 👍
Video in 4K.
Exactly 4 thousands likes as I'm writing this post.
Just a thing with a number coincidence.
Thanks for your videos!
You've mentioned it a lot already, I appreciate, but PoP Lost Crown is a great one too, that real Metroid Dread style metroidvania
Here I am on a new day to ask for something as small as a mention about Gigantic rampage edition!
None of these games really seem like my vibe honestly... except the Stalker game. Never heard of the first one but, I like the concepts here. I dont like horror games but, I do love my first person shooters and Ive been trying to get into more unique FPS games, might be cool! IDK I think it's worth a try if I can get my hands on a demo. And Pal World, Im sure i'll play it, I dont really like survival games but apparently there's a way to put it on 'easy' mode so the amount of grinding you need is much less, for people with much less hours per day to play,so they can still progress!
I'm enjoying Outcast: A New Beginning. It's fun so far. Of course it will be superceded in two days for Dragon's Dogma 2. Really looking forward to that game, I love the original.
Fantastic top ten I need a new game soon looks like I am spoilt for choice
What about no rest for the wicked? I haven't seen any coverage on this channel for this game.
It can be a great exploration game coming this year.
Please make a dedicated video about it @gameranx
STALKER 2 is my most anticipated game for this years. I hope the devs of GSC World delivers
Rise of Ronin pre-order started downloading today!!! 100gigs or so. Should be a huge game
AC mirage I felt was a great balance for newer ac games. I’m hooked on it
Given the downward spiral Star Wars has become under Disney as well as how downhill Ubisoft games have gone, I don’t have it in me to get hyped for Outlaws. Instead I will be very cautious and see how the reviews shake out
Ubisoft+ goes brrr.
Well the people who wrote and designed this game have the same mentality as those at sweet baby inc not to mention sbi themselves dipped their toes into the making of it.
Looking forward to Test Drive unlimited 2. I loved the original and always hoped MS would add it to backwards compatibility list, but it never was 🤔. Hope V2 is as good.
Glad to see FF7 rebirth get an honorable mention. The scenery alone is worth the exploration, especially if your a long time fan.
Sucks that it is such a mess on release. Not for me personally, as I've no interest, but I feel for my buddies who eagerly waited for it
@@JohnClam A mess in what way? I didn't experience a single issue
@@sucka_punch-2000only thing I heard about is that performance mode looks bad ...
@@JohnClam what mess? the game runs fine
@tankian4545 Yeah, it puts a blur on distant objects. I played in quality mode, which is why I had no complaints i guess
How was DD2 below that car one?! "Exhillerating gameplay like getting flat tires and putting things in your trunk!"
Stellar Blade could be very underrated, the demo was phenomenal 👏
No it wasn't
Dude hell yeah, I see you're a man of culture 😎lol
ohhh I'm a bit later today...I'm not much for survival games such as Ark and a lot on this list, however there are some stunning looking games featured.
I want Evil west 2 with huge maps or open world and more characters! Game slapped
im so ready for the stalker 2 mods i wanna turn my game into hardcore survival tarkov like i did with stalker anomaly with the gamma mod pack or EFP
Nice intro music
Final Fantasy 7 rebirth is awesome.
Dragons dogma 2 will be swesome.
Shadow of the Erdtree... God tier.
What's the song that starts playing when they talk about Pascific Drive @7:37?
I’m so excited for dragons dogma 2. But I hate it comes out same day as Ronin. That also looks good.
Nice Video
waohh pacific drive looks sick
stalker was my first exploration game it was introduce to me by my uncle so I'm really excited for stalker 2 heart of chernobly to be realse
Never double tapped so much in one Gameranx video.
Its the most dog shit ,unoriginal ,uninspired channel out there.Good for background noise while you roll a joint tho.
Waiting for Dune awakening💯 i hope it's good🤞
Little devil inside is the game i am looking forward from years now ❤
Pls mention somethings about crimson desert in a video by the way you're the best
