  • This little creature is a rest for a tea strainer (for loose leaf tea). The legs it stands on are made entirely from a very thick glaze that becomes just fluid enough to flow out of holes in the base at the peak of the firing, then cool and solidify into glass before they have time to flow any further.
There are a full descriptions of each process as subtitles. Please let me know if there's any questions you have that aren't covered in them though!

I was confused for a bit but at the final reveal, I gasped "he's got little feets!" And I understood. Not only the video and the process, but something deeper about the universe as well, probably

Absolutely. It's like gazing into the abyss and having the abyss gaze back with little googly eyes.

This is so cute! I learned to throw pottery nearly 30 years ago, and I loved it. It's very calming for me. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity since, so I enjoy watching your creations.

That clay is seriously hydrated. Is that reclaim or does it come that way?

Neither actually, I just add a bit of water to the bag a few days before I use it. It softens the majority of the clay to a nicer consistency, but does make the initial wedging a bit more of a pain for how sticky the outside gets
