Floating Pot with Glaze Drips for Legs - Full Process

- This little creature is a rest for a tea strainer (for loose leaf tea). The legs it stands on are made entirely from a very thick glaze that becomes just fluid enough to flow out of holes in the base at the peak of the firing, then cool and solidify into glass before they have time to flow any further.
There are a full descriptions of each process as subtitles. Please let me know if there's any questions you have that aren't covered in them though!

I was confused for a bit but at the final reveal, I gasped "he's got little feets!" And I understood. Not only the video and the process, but something deeper about the universe as well, probably
Absolutely. It's like gazing into the abyss and having the abyss gaze back with little googly eyes.
@@OldForgeCreations the abyss has seen me and I am seen
Love a complicated creation for a very specific purpose 😊 little dude does the job perfectly!
The googly eyes at the end of the video! Looks like it has had too much coffee 😆
Love that little guy.
Alright that's beyond creative :D what a happy little guy
I didnt know what you were making till the end.
I am a coffee drinker, but am all for Nuditea! LOL
This is so cute! I learned to throw pottery nearly 30 years ago, and I loved it. It's very calming for me. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity since, so I enjoy watching your creations.
Utterly charming - would make a fab egg cup holder for kids too! :-)
I love this so much! Also I just broke my tea strainer holder
Very innovative!
You are sooo inventive!
Great work Joe! Very creative.
Glad you liked it!
So cute!
Very creative! :)
That clay is seriously hydrated. Is that reclaim or does it come that way?
Neither actually, I just add a bit of water to the bag a few days before I use it. It softens the majority of the clay to a nicer consistency, but does make the initial wedging a bit more of a pain for how sticky the outside gets
Question ? where did you get the diamond core tool to do the set up ?
I got it directly from them
