  • First trip to northern Mo for some early season bow hunting was a learning experience to say the least! Trials and tribulations and many miles walked! But we didn’t come to back to Arkansas empty handed!

That possum faceplanting killed me! I've never seen a possum do it but I've seen squirrels miss a jump several times and it's always hilarious!

I've shot deer only to have more walk right on by. That's why I love bow hunting, if you shoot no matter if you hit or miss you can keep hunting

Glad ya got one! Our family is with you. It's all about the harvest and placing food in the freezer. We even do all our own butchering. Now if a trophy happens to be in our sights that's just a grand bonus!!!

@@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors when cooked right, they all taste good. But the smaller/younger meat is more forgiving on the grill and in the kitchen, for the cook that hasn't mastered that part of the craft yet.

I hunted MO last year. 2 weeks during bow season and 2 weeks during rifle season. Pre rut and end of rut. Man it was so beautiful. I love it there. My goal is to buy 50-100 akers of just hunt land so I can spend 30 days a year living the good life. I also hubted a few other states and really enjoyed North east TN. That was alot like MO. Beautiful as far as the eye can see. Long way from Phoenix AZ, i'll say that. Hope you fill all 3 of your MO tags and remember you can get more doe tags for $25 as long as you change counties.

@@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors yeah thats way way north. Like on the border north. Hope to see you take a giant out of there. I hunted closer to Bennett springs. They also have great trout fishing in that area. Hunt in the morning, fish after lunch, hunt the evening sit. Drink some beer, go to bed and do it all again. Thats the good life. Thanks for your responses, looking forward to this hunt series.

Great job brother!! Love all your videos! Need to make sure I leave a like on all them. We are in Texas and hunt a lot of other states. So far have been to Oklahoma, Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas. All public land, and have really had a good time. Generally just me and my father. Planning to go to North Dakota next year. What's your favorite state to hunt?

Good looking nannie, for sure. Just one tip from an old Army guy and Hunter in your face camo, not that it appears you need any tips...
You seem to be forgetting your ears. Your breaking up your face well, but these stare-downs may be the deer trying to make you out because your ears are shining like spotlights up in the tree, especially when the sun breaks through just right and hits them. Look back at the footage and you'll see what I mean. Your ears and eyes give you away. With just the eyes, they would have a much harder time spotting you for those staring contests. But a pair of eyes between two ears makes more sense to an animal. Like I said, just a tip on face camo. I know your facing animals and not humans, but they can be smarter than many humans give them credit for. Active hunters that really study their prey learn them more than most, but tips from the old timers can still help sometimes.
Thanks for the videos. My mobility issues don't really let me get out there any more, and watching others who share their experiences kinda helps to fill the void a bit.

All smart A** a slide… those deer were triplets the other deer was the mom (the biggest doe). She didn’t get shot for that reason. However, it is plenty far enough into the season that those deer will survive no problem at all. I think that people including you are forgetting what HUNTING is all about. Hunting is about the harvest. I’m not some big shot… tags are expensive… and I like to eat them! Thanks for the comments!

I know that Doe was legal to take and to find out you never found her sucks even more I know them yearlings would survive without her but they would have had a better chance at life with her I personally would not have shot I know you say you like Camp meat
