Thank you very much for your indepth review. Because of sharing your problem with the unboxing I was able to avoid damaging mine by using a handheld hair dryer to peel off the glue without bubbling the case box. Keep up your excellent work!
CHECK THIS OUT...
The second and third sets picked their six different movie titles one from each decade. The first set picked one movie from the 30s, two movies from the '60s, two movies from the 90s and one movie from 1982.
With that being said my prediction for volume four goes as following in no particular order.
1954 On The Waterfront.
1982 Tootsie.
1940 His Girl Friday.
2006 Talladega Nights.
1979 Kramer versus Kramer.
2000 Erin Brockovich.
Those are the films that I think that they will pick those are not the films that I would pick. They've got about 30 more movies IMO (including the ones above) that they can still possibly come out with, so a possibility of six more sets but I'm thinking they'll probably max out at three more.
Some of the other movies that they could possibly do... against all odds, guess who's coming to dinner, Monty Python and The Holy grail, City slickers, death of a salesman, bye-bye birdie, a soldier story, funny girl, The DaVinci code, when Harry met sally, my girl, the age of innocence, Mr Deeds Goes to town, Romeo and juliet, awakenings, shampoo, silverado, the way we were, Suddenly Last summer, the blue lagoon, St Elmo's fire, and La Bamba. I went through the top 250 Columbia Pictures movies all time ranking from number one greatest to number 250 and those were the movies that I think that they'll come up with on that list. There were other movies that were on that list but they already have a standalone release so I didn't include those ones.
Out of the movies that I mentioned what movies do you think will make the next release?
My vol. 2 box totally fell apart. I did an unboxing of a nice version then I sold it. Then I bought it again and my copy of the box came apart at all the glue spots into multiple pieces. My wife put it back together and hot glued it while I quietly wept on the floor...
It seems like there are plenty of copies I would contact whoever you bought it from and have them sent you a replacement. Mine arrived in perfect condition

I love the movie Annie, you got Tim curry playing a villain and carol Burnett is also awesome as a villain. I’m going to get this set just for the movie Annie and to sir with love. I don’t have any of these movies on blu ray in which I would love to have on blu ray.

It Happened One Night is my favorite Capra film, definitely the best film in the set by far.
I'm sure you already know but it's one of only three films to sweep the five major categories of best picture best screenplay Best Director best actor best actress. The other ones were One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Silence of the Lambs. It Happened One Night is one of my favorite movies of all time
Believe it or not I TOO haven't seen any of these films except maybe parts of AS GOOD AS IT GETS, Ken!!! Great set, tho.
Mine fell apart the second I opened it - the glue holding the magnet that holds the boxes the movies are in were torn clean off

I'm still waiting on mine. It was supposed to arrive today but amazon lost it I guess. Ugh. Anyway thanks for sharing this video! I've only seen 3 of these and cant wait.
Funny story, I pre-ordered mine months ago and they said that it wasn't going to get here until Thursday the 27th and that's what the tracking showed but it actually showed up on Tuesday the day of release like it was supposed to. I don't understand what was going on but I thought that was kind of weird. But it did show up on time and I got my second volume on a Sunday two days early last year. I just got done watching Annie now I have as good as it gets to watch all of the movies look really good
My suggested order to watch them in, from worst to best:
Good As It Gets, Last Picture Show, Annie (kids classic, like Willy Wonka),
To Sir With Love, From Here To Eternity, It Happened One Night.
Why is Last Picture in b/w? Orson Welles said to.
And while the Columbia cutie isn't an angel, she does seem to be based on the Statue of Liberty.
(Films began in NYC before the big move to Hollywood.)
Actually wish I didn't waste my time watching To Sir with Love. I got nothing out of that movie it was incredibly boring and puts mayonnaise on a house salad? LOL
if Tootsie 1982 was on volume 4 i would buy it in a second

It Happened one Night is one of only two movies to win the top 5 Academy Awards. One flew Over the Cuckoos Nest is the other one.
I just got one in the mail yesterday and I want the first one but expensive on ebay and Amazon canada 🇨🇦
I ordered US version because UK version does not include slip covers. Only down side is this box is $150 for UK delivery. Great films - real classics - my favourite is To sir with love because it is set in the UK and has a killer theme song sung by Lulu.
I'm not trying to be a tool bag or anything but what did you like about "To Sir with Love"? because I found it incredibly boring. Also like seriously, who puts mayonnaise on a house salad I was like wtf?! LOL anyways let me know your thoughts down below..
Kinda glad none of these movies are ones that I'm currently interested in (might watch some of them some day, but I don't blind buy) because I ended up buying Stripes and League of their own off of ebay in order to get the slipcovers. Fortunately, I didn't own either on bluray so I was willing to pay a little extra

Beautiful set, shame i don't like any of the films though.
The only movie I’ve seen in this set is Annie.
At the very least, an impressive looking box set minus the packaging issues. On a side note, I’m catching up on the videos going backwards lol.
These sets also look like they could damage or fall apart a little too easily.
I think the Columbia logo is the Statue Of Liberty.

That is a good point. Vol 2 has some great films though.
One time I was on Best Buy's website about 6 months ago and they actually reissued volume one and I could have ordered three copies of it if I wanted to but I couldn't remember my Best Buy credit card number and I was at work and by the time that I got home just 30 minutes later they were already off sold out. If I could have remembered my number I would have been able to buy some but now they don't even have it on Best Buy's website anymore I don't think that they're going to do it again that's unfortunate and I completely agree with you the first one is completely bogus how they under produced it and now they're going for 300 to $500 it's insane
It Happened One Night is one of the greatest romantic comedy's of the 30's and stars Claude Corbett in one of her best roles. It is the template that the genre was based on for decades.
From Here to Eternity has several scenes that pushed the Hayes Code to the breaking point and helped usher in the era of less rigidly censored film making later in the decade.
The Last Picture show is widely considered one of the greatest films of the 70's.
Annie is a personal favorite of mine.
FYI you can get it from Wal-Mart right now for $99.95.

I'd be super annoyed about the bubbling. Sorry that happened! Haven't seen any of these either, except As Good As It Gets, and I absolutely love that film.

I'm not a fan of these random sets but that's cool you like them. I do have and enjoy the blu-rays of It Happened One Night, From Here to Eternity, and As Good as its Gets. The Last Picture show is an interesting watch but overrated imo, and To Sir with Love feels more dated than engrossing, like In the Heat of the Night. I should really re-watch Annie as its been decades. Speaking of older movies, still waiting for Criterion to put out Spellbound by Hitchcock and hoping Warner will put The Amazing Dr. Clitterhouse with Edward G. Robinson and someone will put out Monkey Business with Cary Grant.

Based on what happened with volume 2 I'll wait for a price drop. The movies in this set are no where near as well known or popular as the Last two volumes so I doubt it will sell as well.

9I doubt it will go that low anytime soon if at all. Volume 1 is now OOP. Volume 2 has not gone below $99 and could sell out at any time. I wouldn't wait too long if you really want it.
