This could've (and should've) been the centerpiece song for a Hole record in say '96. Their tortured, untourable "In Utero". Sigh, I wish we'd gotten it.
They went a bit too corporate with Celebrity Skin, and I'm sure Courtney would say that was the whole idea, clearly meant to be a somewhat self-effacing commentary on selling out while hiding behind self-awareness. But this raw sound will always be what charmed me most about the band.

She should have never gotten a nose job. Yeah she had a schnoz and was insecure about it, but I think it added to her unconventional style. Their music declined after she had the LA face mould plastered to her.
