#17 here, and it is time to get serious, isn't it? We qualified well down the order, but the #40, #19, and #39 also had bad qualifying sessions, so we are on somewhat of an even playing field. We got to the bottom to try and avoid any wrecks just in time to do just that. I really feel bad for the #11, since he had such a good starting position relative to everyone else, ending up upside-down. We tried to make our way up to at least the top 15 over the next stint, and just in time, too, as the next wreck started just behind us! On the restart, we made up a bunch of places before the closest call of the season for us, as the #3 just barely bumped us out of turn 2. Luckily, we ducked low and kept the car under control, but that was way too close! We get to the lead just in time for the next wreck! This is honestly the most stressful race I have ever watched, from the playoff implications to just the desperation of the field, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! After getting shuffled back after the restart, we make our way up to the front again, just in time for the next caution. The normal strategy for someone in this position would be to play it safe and secure points instead of going for the win, but the safest place in this race seems to be the top 5, unfortunately, so we had to push. This was proven right with another caution just behind us, if any of the churn of the pack would have gone differently for us, we likely would have been caught up in one of these wrecks! Unfortunately we got shuffled to 14th by the end, but luckily we secured enough points to make it into the CHAMPIONSHIP FOUR!!!! I honestly cannot believe this, just making it to the playoffs was a lofty achievement, and now we are in for a chance at the title! We could flip lap one of the next race and finish dead last, and I would still be ecstatic at this result!

This season was good while it lasted for me. Still looking forward to the championship race and next season though!
