I created value back in the day by tanking dungeons no matter how geared I got. I just enjoyed running the things because it helped build guild activity and relationships. I got 2 people to meet each other in a Strath Und Baron Run and they got married 2 years ago. THAT'S value.
It was very fun taking the ideas expressed in this video and translating them to my guild ( also on Nightslayer!). We aren't a raiding guild at all really, we are a World PvP guild - and it often feels like we are pioneers of such an endgame because, lets be honest, most people across warcraft see no value in PvP in the open world! We are often having to brainstorm a lot to find things we will enjoy, and it has been wildly successful for over 3 years. We'll be doing a ridiculous amount of events every single week starting after the 9th, so if you see any of us around (or need some PvP support lol), then hit us up! We serve the faction, not just ourselves.
@@JakeFromTree Me and another officer plan on uploading throughout the lifetime of Nightslayer :) so far all I have is video archives but certainly plan to make "real" content that isnt just a raw upload of an event haha. Appreciate the suggestion!!
This is good life advice in general. You never want to give in a way that feels like a sacrifice. It's best to focus on creating relationships that are a natural win-win at hand. The best value is the value you add passively.
Value is a personal thing. As a guild leader, you're incentivized to find people whose values align with your own to achieve your (and the guild's) raid goals. In some cases, the same transparency you use in LC should be used in the vetting process for those joining. "What do you like about WOW? What are your personal goals with your character / playtime? These are our needs, do they jive with / can you contribute to that? etc.." Then they get to decide and as values recalibrate, y'all just talk about it.
First time starting WOW during SOD. Just wanted to say thanks for the vids and teaching me how to play! Always will send a Like on all vids from here on out.
Asking how to create value is inherently the opposite of doing something that creates value. I know on your other video I kinda complained about doing stuff for my build but I do think it important to realize that it's important to do things for [guild/friends/etc] without expecting reciprocation, it's the only way you can be truly happy in performing those acts
I feel like no one credits the folks who build the discord servers and raid sign ups that we all use. It take some time to get everything set up for the groups
I was in your guild for a short time and the community felt super exclusive and uncomfortable. You have people like Yoomie (I think is their name? Yoomi?) Who are very sweaty and, miasogynistic, and just give off generally uncomfortable vibes. Very easy way to feel jaded. You want to foster an inclusive community with good vibes, I admire that, but 50% of your guild is Yoomis, sweaty disgusting nerds sucking their spit through retainers 24/7. I admire what you're trying to do, I think you should trim down your roster if you truly believe the things you are saying. Obviously, you will do whatever you want at the end of the day, but its just my suggestion.
@@JakeFromTree nono, not me. I liked most people, there were just a few who ruined it for me. Sookie was cool, weiss was cool, April, noworldbuffs, nuhiva, Kris, and a bunch of other I'm not remembering the names of. you were especially cool too, Its ultra sweats like the person I mentioned that gave the impression off that I felt like I didn't have a place. Then again, I'm not really that good anymore so it's most likely not the place for me regardless. Probably taking offhand comments too personally. I'm mostly just screaming into the void here, I think you should keep doing what you're doing. Your thing is working great and you have a bunch of awesome people in your group. I'm clearly an outlier who only has issues with 2-3 people, and I don't want to come off as a Karen. Debating deleting my initial comment.
I just clicked to see what the valuable item was in the thumbnail. Instead I got words.
Same...Thank God I realized this in the 30th second and I stopped to listen.

May wanna make a youtube channel. Would probably go great. People love pvp way more than pve on youtube

Some guy offered me 500g to join that guild when we ran SM together like 2 weeks ago
@JakeFromTree yeah, HC/RP leveling challenges on YT or fun well-edited WPvP on YT are the best for viewers
The friends we make along the way
