How to Start a Garden | Beginner Gardening Tips

- Spring is quickly approaching which means it's time to starting planning our garden. This is my second spring planting, and while I'm not a master gardener yet, I do have a few tips to share for people who are starting a garden for the first time. It really doesn't have to be complicated - you can grow something pretty much anywhere, but if you want to be successful, there are a few basics that need to be considered before starting your garden.

Great Video! Do you use any worm castings? Worms create the best fertilizer on the planet! I raise millions of worms for fertilizer for my garden, and to teach others how to care for them :)
@@CaptainMattsWorms I have not use Ms worm castings but some people at the community garden have and are very successful!

loved the video! i'm also in GA and I'm starting a garden for the first time in containers. I bought soo many seeds, I'm really excited to see what I can grow! I'm growing a mix of flowers, herbs, and veggies.

My brother and I started with pots and starter herbs last year. This year we're hoping to grow a bigger edible garden.

Try to buy soil without peat if you can as that is not sustainable at all
