Recently Sony attempted to require Helldivers 2 players on PC to make a PSN account or their game would stop working. The Helldivers pushed back and Sony recanted their stance. The NBA 2K community needs to take notes and grow a back bone.

No its worst than that most of the 2k community is so stupid they call everything trash and dont know how to articulate themselves. The only time I remember everyone articulating themselves properly was 2k18 and all the nickel and diming and 2k fixed it the next year now it’s obviously back to the same nickel and diming.

Unfortunately the 2K community's Achilles heel is ignorance. They'd rather waste their money than help force 2K to make the game worth their purchase.
The Helldivers 2 community were trained so well to fight together it back fired on Sony but the 2K community are just a joke they would blow their life savings on their build 😅

When has ncaa ever not been a tweaked madden. NCAA 14 was ran on the same engine as madden 25(2013) but with a few changes
TBH has brought this up many times on his streams, STOP complaining to ronnie2k or any of the community managers and START knowing the names in suits. CEOs, COOs, etc. tag them on social media, voice your issues with them and take action. Hurting their wallet first will force them to take it over to the internet and see all the issues we have with the games therefore, increases our chances of getting what we want.
The problem here is that 10% of the players pay for like 80% of all microtransactions. So most people complaining are in fact not spending money on VC, but the small minority spends more than enough for 2k to keep it up

There really is no hope for sports gamers. 2k, Madden, and Fifa (FC or whatever) are all too ingrained in the culture. Kids are always gonna ask their moms for Madden and 2k, people who are without it are gonna get made fun of, and theres no real alternative. 2k was cooked the moment it became a fashion show. Maddens been trash for years and it's still a top selling game. People just dont care guys.

Honestly, as someone who engages w players of 2K on all levels (casual/competitive) the main problem I notice is a lack of open mindedness. For most of them 2K is their main game and despite how bad the current state of the game is, the thought of playing something else is frowned upon frankly because of pride. Any game requires you to put in time to become better. With 2K, that time is almost tripled you can say with grinding your overall, badges, and hell even drip 😂 If your overall or build is not up to par or your friends standard, you will get exiled from being able to play the game. Its a game that capitalizes off of a segregated community by making you pay for a build just to learn its not a good build 🤦🏽♂️
I love you fighting the fine fight tbh. But a huge problem is that a lot of 2k gamers are casual and don't care about a community.
2K is such a bad game to spend money on. I feel like they purposely patch things that end up ruining certain builds which causes a loop of ppl trying to make the next meta build

It wasn’t the review bombing that made Sony change their minds. It was when people from countries where psn isn’t available started to get refunds from steam, who changed their refund policy for this one occasion

I played 2k since 2k10 and I haven’t played my career in 2 or 3 years. I refuse to waste money for VC.

ive been playing the old 2k games lately (mainly 2k13 mycareer) and i literally just think the way to make a good 2k game again... is to just keep it about basketball. I havent bought a 2k since 19 because of this.

2k players aren't in conjunction at all. They're all separated. We won't ever be together on something.

I saw a post about the upcoming EA college 25 pre order editions, one of the comment said “They could charge me $500 per copy and I'll buy it.” Now telling EA that is dangerous waters, sports gamers might be dumbest people on earth.
NBA live 19 is so slept on. EA doesn't update it but its the perfect substitute to 2k. You can get on there and actually have fun without all the BS 2K has. It lacks some things yes, but don't have to spend 50 bucks or play from 200hrs to get my player to a 90 overall

I quit myteam this year after 4 straight years of playing it. I refuse to be forced into pay to win. I also only made two builds and that was the only time I bought VC. I’m done. I think about when I was a kid this game was my favorite and brought so much joy, now I can’t imagine poor kids like I was even having a chance to play because they don’t have money.
With the release of ncaa and undisputed coming this year I’m good. I don’t think I’ll need 2k25 to satisfy me so this year. I’m done with them and their predatory behavior

I've never played 2K but this is a similar thing happening with the Overwatch 2 community. They were given a f2p version of the game with half the content in it removed from the first game and the promised story mode got canceled, but a new store got made with some cool skins are in it so no one cares

You forgot a major player for the win against Sony: the game developers! Helldivers devs are active in the official discord and even the CEO responds to random people on Twitter/X! Not many games are lucky enough to have such transparent communication between their players. If I'm not mistaken one of the devs risked their job and got fired for advising players to protest with their wallets, RIP Spitz
Great video btw, I'm a Helldiver, I don't play NBA2K, but I really liked 2K16. The video was pretty cool, I might suggest maybe find dramatic background music or even remove it entirely towards the end to make the "call to action" even more impactful. Thank you for the video!
