    I've never seen anyone use a PVC Cutter like pliers only to then pull out a pair of Channellocks. Keep on rockin' Lawn Rebel.

      @@Steve-qy9db YO Stevie.... I edit my own vids. I had two clips. One with the pipe cutter and one with the channel locks..... I CHOSE to insert both clips. This was a choice I made knowing the ramifications and blow back I'd get from you in the comments section. I got you. You fell for my trap. Now can you see why I chose to leave it in?

    Great tip on that fitting! I need to get about 6 of those fittings for my flowerbeds. I use a blowtorch for my funny pipe fittings. It's like a greased pig after 5 seconds of blowtorch.

    I like the extra elbow under the sprinkler head. I’ve had a few tilt and will try this next time I need to reposition or straighten. 👍

    Ooooh nice idea using a heat gun on the end of plastic pipe. When I help my Dad with plastic sprinkler pipes we use a piece of wood lit with fire. I definetly will show my Dad your idea on youtube tonight. Thanks Lawn Rebel.

    Instead of the heat gun, you can also put dawn dish liquid on the fitting barb and it helps the fitting go in easier too.

    No you're the best. I planted 10 dahlias tubers and then it rained and rained and rained and rained. Only one has come up. Idk if I should keep waiting and hope the others come up or plant something else to fill that space in my garden

    We do irrigation repairs as part of my landscape business and the Marlex is one of the most common pieces we replace as they are frequently broken. We seldom use them for this reason.

    FYI all those extra fittings and 90s result in added pressure losses. People with low water pressure or poorly designed systems could have issues when adding a bunch of fittings.

      smokey0066 pressure loss at an individual sprinkler head would be minimal by adding an additional elbow. I agree with you other statement about poorly designed systems.

    Looks great! I hope your hand feels better soon. I had a ganglion cyst for a few years. That really put a damper on my mobility, but I also have recurring tendonitis that makes gripping hard.

    I love the additional fitting... I hate installing a sprinkler head then noticing a week later it has pulled crooked after settling. They can't be more than $.50 at the big box stores.

    If you don't have a heat gun a hair dryer works real well too. I used a hair dryer for all of my poly pipe connections.

    If anyone in the upper midwest is looking for fittings Fleet Farm has a plethora of fittings in all sizes and variations. They lack selection on sprinkler heads though.

    Heating that line like that may cause it to become brittle after it cools. It could possibly break sooner than later. Maybe lol, just a guess. At the college we just lubed with a little PT lube and never had an issue with them coming undone. Just my experience AWESOME videos man😊

    I would love to live in a place where the soil in black and rocks are few. Grew up in SW Mo and lived in NW Arkansas, rocks and red clay are everywhere. Now live in S.C. and the soil is a clay sort of concrete that's just as hard to dig in as the rocks where I grew up.

    Drive to the hardware store get pipe, drive home, drive back to store to get fittings and heads then drive back home. Drive to get soil, forgot wallet, drive back home... whats up with that dang spot in the lawn that doesn’t grow?

    I use boiling water in a jug to and dip the pipe in it, seems to heat and go soft quicker

    I had to stop riding dirtbikes when I dislocated my lunate bone after jumping off a small ramp. Hopefully you don't have that as well, I could use my hand completely but it felt like a bad sprain. Required surgery to repair.

    Those don't need any hose clamps for those barbed fittings? I have never used anything but pvc pipe for my sprinkler's
