Seem to prefer this demo version over the final product 'cause the a lot more intriguing guitars and what seems to sound like a very interesting drum machine sound. Together the instrumentals make a very captivating atmosphere when the single & album version seem to have lost the most interesting aspects of this tune. Thanks for sharing this one, it's a great listening experience!
And what about those lyrics?? Fascinating. Totally different. Did he just have spat with Liam? Sure like to know when these lyrics were penned and whats going on at the time.
I remember buying the singles at the time and it pissed me off that this demo was on the shit DVD single and omitted from the audio CD single. DVD single what a joke
I hate the demo, man. Apparently it's the cool thing to knock the official release, and to praise this. But the lyrics are hyper-serious, "there's no love, in a shotgun town..." and a little silly. Liam gives it a badass feeling, and edge.
I love the slower tempo and the drums in the demo. The guitars are also great. All of these plus the lyrics and the higher key give it a different vibe than from the official track. You would be correct to say that Liam's version has that kind of badass vibe to it but Noel's version is a little more romantic and I love it.
Noel’s vocals on this I feel are more raw. I just like the punch of this one more. The official release is also great but the airiness of the pre chorus is just beautiful. I think the slightly more grungey producing with the demo just hits harder but that’s just me

Thank you Manchester for giving us so many excellent bands
Better version
Oasis and Take That
Wish they had incorporated more of these lyrics into the LP Version. I really like both though. Just balls out rock n roll. 👏
These lyrics are about the divorce between Noel and Meg so no chance they would've been found in LP version
Love this version
The Best Oasis song. It's not fair...
Digging it 2 the bone!!!!
Great
Both versions are valid
Would be right at home on Standing On The Shoulder of Giants
I like both versions! Add the Crunching Guitars n Drums to the Official release and That'll make it Better for me
Prefer the lyrics and music in this version. Def has a bit of a U2 vibe to it
Loser

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
this version needs Liam and a little more polish but it’s still a banger

NGHFB should've sounded like this!!
No dude, no. lol.
@@T0FFII as if I'd take direction from anyone using the lowest form of acknowledgement "dude". As you were xo
This insane lol
The guitar is the only thing better on the demo
Always preferred the demo intro, the final release though was basically trying to be Rolling Stones
DEATH is 2 good an punishment fore the enemy!!!!
Give me this music with the official lyrics...
Apart from nob-cheese singing on the demo, the demo is much better
Tony McCann

The drums on the demo are so much better. They are too soft and quiet on the version that got released.
I think I get your point. But this is the only demo from band that I instantly said “this is better.” It’s just better.

I prefer official version
