I was $6k in credit card debt at the beginning of this year. Trust me, to us lower income people, that's a lot. But I worked extra jobs and paid it off!
How long did it take you to pay the debt? I have one for 4k, or what was your plan?
It took me about 8 months from January-August. I got a 2nd job as a restaurant hostess making $600-$750 every two weeks and I put every pay check (except one) towards my credit card for 4 months. Then, when I had $2,000 left, I quit that side job (way too stressful) and took a break from paying debt for a month. Then, I started making payments to my credit card again about every two weeks until it was completely paid off.@@DonutLover-lp5ts
Exactly 😫It is a lot!!! When you make a great income, it would take no time to pay it off
Plus interest 😂
@@DonutLover-lp5ts1k a month rice and beans , haircuts going out gas clothing food from fast food small things you think you need
adds up if you only make 1k a check and you get 2 checks a month
it means 1 check for debt and 1 for your living bills
its simple but the spending destroys it
it happened to me i thought it was easy but impulsive spending does destroy savings and moving forward
i finally was able to stop all that
6k? Lol 😂 I remember when I was excited when I got my debt down to 6k
Me too 😂😂
Well the guy really had $32k if you include the car loan.
Just got my student loan down to 5k and I’m hype . Near the Finish line
Is that funny for you?
For reallllll
6k is a lot to us lower income folks so keep that in mind.
And his name was mr business
Yeah, I'm freaked out at just ubder 3K
yep, especially with some 30% APR shit while u make minimum wage!! 🤣 so small but takes forever on tiny income!! I work 2 full time min wage jobs and barely afford minimum payments 💀
@@MJ_SoloI was too but year later and a lot happening in life. In 15k in debt. You can get out of it don’t worry about it. Just stop swiping
@@MJ_Solosame here
6k isn’t bad compared to most calls where they are 100k in debt
If had 8000 I would pay off my debt off so fast
Yes
$6k in debt?!?! That's cute.
He had 32k in debt
Lol😂 that’s what I thought.
I have 2500 in credit card debt and I’m struggling lol 😂
He's hanging on to the money because cash in hand feels secure. And there is no better feeling than having cash if the car breaks down, if you have an unexpected bill or deductible, or somebody tells you to walk, honey you can walk.
This. Psychologically it makes sense, even if it isn't the best financial decision.
@@thelogicaldanger It's not the best financial decision to have cash at hand?
@@user-xm6ro1ep5d Oh, one should always have some cash on hand. But he needs to balance having some cash on hand, along with paying off a debt that is costing him in interest fees every month.
@@user-xm6ro1ep5d It's not the best financial decision to have debt, and to act like it's no big deal. This isn't rocket science.
Ken was not having it today 😂😂
6k??! Go get yourself some real debt and call back sir.
No debt is good debt
@@michaelschneider9305 A mortgage is good debt.
@@JoshSmeda no it’s not
Not everyone is irresponsible like you
@@yohan.al2000 Just a joke man. But yes, I am wholly irresponsible.
I don't understand how people think it's ok to own a vehicle over $25k in value when they are in creditcard debt
Its called debt. Banks love it
remember that as you drive around town... most people are in this position, they call dave all the time
@ThirtyVirus Why you only don´t understand it when the value of the vehicle is over 25K? A Beamer should be the goal to drive if you have debt. Than upgrade it after paying of all debt and having money to buy a better car.
Over here in the U.K. folks are balling on finance vehicles & luxury handbags .. the young generation is doomed IN FINANCE & RELATIONSHIP ... social media BS
@@howlbeast Thats the agenda of the NWO. No children, inundated in debt, population reduction and enslavement.
"So you need it for your business?"
".....yeah."
"No you don't!"
🤣🤣🤣
Stop spending your money on stupid stuff.
Ken, well done with your no BS approach today. People need to be waken up.
I lost it at:
“Are you gonna do this?”
“ Do What?”
Sir…lol 🤣🤣
Sometimes I wonder where people found the number for this show, and who they thought they were calling. Is it written on a bathroom wall somewhere?
Yes, next to "why are looking here, the joke is in your hand"
@@JustinCase780 "Why are you looking here, the joke is in your retirement accounts" :-)
@@SalisburySnake 🤣
Lol
For a good time call Dave Ramsey 😂😂
$40k truck for a landscaping job come on dude.
Better go out there n buy a 5-10K Ford F-150 or Rams truck 🛻
And that's what it's worth now. Might have been $60K to purchase...
90% of broke American men would be better off with a used Corolla. Expensive truck = the ticket to a lifetime of poverty.
Ken’s not having any but’s today people, let’s get it together now……..that’s awesome 😁
Sometimes you really need to swallow your pride.
Caller: I'm about to be homeless due to my unemployment...
Ramsey Show: Pay off your car loan! Idiot!
😂😂😂
“DONT BE STOOOOOPIDDDD!”
4K to remodel? What can you do with that other than paint it and change the carpet 🤣
It's a trailer. Carpet a few fixtures, doors..
Appliances?
"I'm not in a but mood." YES KEN! I'm using that liner!
I may be mistaken but the caller sounded to me like he was looking for a advise as to what was the most advantage way to pay off his cc debt.
This was amazing advice! I’m excited for him!!
Was easy advice
Why are excited for a man that you can clearly tell is not going to follow none of that advice 😹
Amazing? More like very basic commonsense.
@@kennethboehnen271 not everyone knows to have this “common sense”. That’s why he called! I’m just happy that he’s able to get out of his financial issues if he so chooses to follow the advice he was given.
Thank you for your comment👍🏽
@@And1one757 if he chooses not to use it that’s his business! It doesn’t affect me! I was happy to hear the speakers gave him the advice that he was seeking.
People need to understand that in life, A LOT of things COME and GO
Having those toys may be nice to the eye but it doesn't build much at the end of the day
You gotta be pretty strong to flip that trailer I suggest using a bulldozer.
Ok I’m in debt 3k and I’m not calling cuz ppl with 10k + deserve ramsey call before me 😂
Hello, you have already finished paying your debt of 3k, how long did it take you to pay it, 1 year and a half?
@@DonutLover-lp5ts a year man I got a new job that payed me better by 9 dollars more & then I got a second job.. I can work whenever I want.
george has a slick attitude and he can really motivate... like this guy on Ramsey
Rodolfo is a straight up fool his debt is not 6K but 32K... he was getting on my nerves
Great advice
Doesn't matter given their plan
Good that he's dealing with it, but compared to other callers this one isn't bad.
Dave's first question would be "what's your household income?" 🤷♂️
Yeah....he needs to know in order to help them better. Was this supposed to be funny?
@@jeffwvu4602 Depends on you, serious guy.
@@LittleMopeHead lol
I bet you rodolpho still didnt take the advice to pay off the debt that week😂
This has probably been one of the easier problems for them to solve i think. Very simple math.
I wanna hear his "I'm debt free" scream by Monday then.
I haven't listened to this and I already know the answer: beans and rice, rice and beans, gazelle intensity.
I'm startled this guy doesn't mind paying horrendous cc interest rates while trying to flip a trailer. I wonder what kind of deal he got when he bought it.
I have about 2k in credit card debt across 4 cards and I owe about 12k on my car loan. So just make minimum on the car loan and all the cards but the smallest and just pay that off and so on then put all that money that was going to the cards to the car loan. Then what? Do I close the cards? Get one big credit card? Home loan on a quadplex?
you can't double spend, if you rack up cc debt you can't spend you cash too, can't have you cake and eat it too, if you wrap up cc debt then you have to pay it off with your cash
I’m having the same issues
You start paying it off by start paying it off and not using it
they should've given him a copy of TMM.
This guy sounds like he was a graduate of common core math.
Ken giving me Dave Ramsey vibes
Basically
This comment is being made years after this posted, but it resonates with me. Over the last two years, I've paid off 7K in credit card debt, 5K in student loans, and almost saved another 5K on a decent income. I hope to one day be debt free and hearing these vidoes help.
What is the complete purpose of the 1000$ emergency fund?
In case you have an emergency
🔥
Now in days $6k is nothing.
Who flip a trailer
While I'm paying down my credit card debt I have been able to transfer my credit card debt to 0% transfer offers to other credit cards.
It’s 6,000$
Not 600,000$
Go to work geez
On the flip side it cost him well over 600k to have 6k debt
It’s like a mister obvious segment
These guys haven't seen the prices of trucks in awhile.
Work work work
I thought my 100 percent utilization of $500 credit limit loop im in was bad.
Isnt it bad to use your emergency savings to pay off debt? Sounds too risky
He's not gonna follow the steps.
I just cut up my capital one card. $1,667 on it. Im going to pay $250 a month and its gone! NEVER again! Debit cards are better! Debt will hold you back. The minimum is $65. They take $55 of that and just use it for interest. The other lart actually gets paid( maybe not exactly but still its a joke)
Only 6k on debt? Stop wasting their time😂
$6k in debt??? Save the calls for $60k in debt.
Funny this didn’t get screened out
It is more entertaining at $60k - but same general math at $6k or $60k debt.
He has 26K in car debt on top of that - total of 32K.
@@arthrodea sorrry not enough to make it interesting.
I would do anything to have 6k to pay off my debt. I’d be happy and live off of $100 at this point and start fresh
Yeah not gonna like I’m 6k in debt, just made my first minimum payment and I’m saving up now
did you already pay the whole 6k already ??
@@DonutLover-lp5ts yuppp started off with 2 minimum payments and the 3rd I paid it fully off. Anything under 10k is very very manageable if you budget and save as much as you can.
@@MichaelangeloGotBandz thanks man for the advice i have a debt for 4k and that would by my 2024 purpose to make it go down to zero.
Man this guy cannot catch a hint even when it's musty right in front of him!
George is 🔥🔥🔥
What's his income? They never asked him.
“What prevents you from paying this off?”
“I don’t have money”.
I paid of a 3000 dollar's loan because these guys told me to pay it off! They drop my credit by 150 points!!
he should probably just pray the debt away
I didn’t learn nothin watchin the video lmao it was a no brainer
He doesn't use the word "basically" near enough to my liking. Basically.
I do not like to judge but it happens but 6K isn’t debt 😒😒 when you have 8K
He owes 25 grand on his truck lol
This guy doesn’t want an older truck
You know for a fact he didn’t sell that car and waited until the end of the flip to then pay off the 6k
What's up with Ken on this one? Lol
He's getting impatient with stupid people. This kid just wasn't getting what they were saying to do and they weren't even being unclear.
On a call like this George is the head coach and Ken is your special teams coordinator to fire you up!
lol "I have 8k, how can I pay off my 6k debt?"
Lmao, this is a beginner call
Who calls over 6k how would you be so clueless over a few grand , also don’t sell it to dealership if it’s worth 42 you’ll get 35 do whole sale
man life is crazy
Who's the new guy?

That's my about my amount
I wish mine was just 6k
mine is 4k
