Thank you Frank! This is exactly what I needed. We just bought a camper trailer (caravan) with bunkbeds so our grandkids have a place to sleep, but it did not come with a ladder. As usual UA-cam did not disappoint and it introduced me to another entertaining craftsman. 😉 👍👍
Amazing how you showed each step of the build which can be done with simple power tools! Thanks for showing all the steps so well. Can’t wait to get mine done!
Teriffic!!! If it were me doing it, it'd be hours and hours and hours - thank you for the insparation! I found your chanel looking for help making a short ladder for my Suzuki, super carry, micro camper project..... It's been a great help!!!🙂🙂
Sorry if you get a thumbs down notification! It was completely accidental. Slip of the finger. I’m building my daughter a bunk ladder & really appreciate your video!
😂 No problem 😁. We have all done it. I think if you hit it again it takes it off again but no worries. Hope you enjoyed it anyway. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Hi mate could you use 3x2. And instead of pocket holes what about screwing directly to the outside lengths into the foot boards ? . Obviously with big enough fixings and and filling at sanding the ? holes ?
Thanks Ian 😁. It's deffinatly the best bunk bed ladder I have ever made 🤔🤔🤔, actually, it's the only bunk bed ladder I have ever made 🤣😂🤣. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Thanks Jay 😁. And thanks very much for the sub (much appreceated) 👍. It's a very sturdy ladder, and the materials are affordable. Drop another comment on here when your done to let me know how you get on. Thanks again Jay. 😁👍
First class tips at the start ( thanks for sharing ) , the bit that gets me all the time when building ladders is the rungs to hand rails I’m looking for tips for lineament !
@@frankslittleworkshop 2 days ago my 8 year old burst the rails that hold his mattress support! So I have cut 3 legs off his bed and extend his ladders and rebuilt the base for the mattress and bolted the bed to the wall ( mission ! ) but looks great floating bed almost apart from the ladders as I had to extend I had to add steps that was the only part that was a bit iffy .
G’day Frank, I enjoy the way you’ve made this & you’ve kept it to script, I think that lockdown can give us scope to think about things we would not likely think about & in the workshop one finds solace 🎥🎥🔨🔨👍👍🍻🍻
Thanks Dirk 😁. I did enjoy this build but it was a worry that it wouldn't fit (especially when small children would be using it). As we all know youngsters will always find a way to injure themselves, we have to minimise the risk 😁. Looking forward to your challenge.... but still have no idea what to build 🤔. We will see 😁. Thanks for watching 😁👍🇬🇧
Thanks David 😁. The treads work a treat, but I do need to make a better tablesaw sled, there is a little bit of slop in my thrown together one. Thanks for watching. 😁👍
@@karlpopewoodcraft what I need is a cool looking mitre station with a T track and a dust hood 🤔🤔🤔. If only someone would do a build series on one 😂🤣😂 👍
Hi Leo 😁. Thank you very much, it's always nice to get some feedback (otherwise I have no idea if my videos "work" or not 😁). Screen in screen is the only way I can cram it all in as I always film too much and end up having to cut 2 hours of film in to about 20 minutes 🤔. Thanks for watching Leo 😁👍.
Frank can you imagine if you fell over with your body entangled in the ladder and the ambulance came🚑😂 they'd be like how in hell🤔😂. That ladder is a work of art mate I've never seen such detail be lavished upon such a simple thing as a ladder, every single detail and angle covered mate.
😂🤣😂 I didn't even think of that 😂🤣. That would be so funny.... for them 😁. The things we do for our craft 😂. It turned out better than I thought it would but more important... I know it's safe. But I'm sure they will find a way to make it dangerous... they are boys 😂🤣😂. Thanks for watching mate. All the best to you and yours 😁👍
Loved that build Frank, I'm just about to start a bunk bed build, so I'll be pinching your step tread detail! Definitely better than anything I would have done.
Thanks 😁, the treads work great and look good as well. I'm sure your TWX7 could easily be set up to do something similar. Looking forward to your build. Thanks for watching 😁👍
I think I got the timber when it was on offer, so it was only about £8 in total. So a lot lot cheaper than buying one from the shops 😁. But the down side is.... it takes hours to make 🤣😂. Thanks for watching Stephen 😁👍
They look pretty, but I don’t think they will be strong enough with only 4 pocket screws in the treads. I would have liked to have seen the treads keyed into the styles. Also grinding with the guard off and some flimsy safety glasses!? Not a good message to send out here. Plus you were trying to cut with a grinding disk not grind with a cutting disk. Apart from that, an enjoyable video thanks.
😆 They lasted longer than the rest of the bunk beds apparently 😆, so it was more than strong enough 😁. I did the cutting with a cutting disc and a hacksaw... then cleaned up with the same cutting disc... which I shouldn't have but I only had the one disc... the safety glasses were sufficient for this application.... and thats all I had at the time. I was just showing how "I" made it... how my viewers do it is entirely up to them 😁.
It's rungs of a ladder, not runs. You'll find it easier to cut a recess if you use the bevelled edge of a chisel, turn the chisel over and use it that way!
Brilliant
😁 Thank you very much 😁. As far as I know it is still working well after 3 years. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

Settle down tough guy
It's good to see Woodglut have new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.
Woodprix plans are amazing!
