The way they act after the Spamton NEO fight in Deltarune makes me suspect that they find their situation intensely distressing even in a pacifist playthrough, personally. Plus, in Deltatraveler they don't even have the small relief of knowing that they're being puppeted around to save the world - in Deltatraveler they're just trying to get home alive with their friends. This isn't an adventure that explicitly requires that Kris be a great prophesized hero and do things they might not believe themself to be capable of alone, but they're controlled all the same, as though they can't be free no matter where they end up. IMO it makes sense that they might feel more hopeless and anxious about it all in this context.

I don't think you really understood the third section dream sequence. Kris doesn't want to die. They just want for the whole situation to stop, but they're scared because the only solution they know would indeed kill them.

This demo is pretty dumb, teetering on a fine line before getting too edgy, but that's what I love about it because at the end of the day it's still a fun crap-post. Huge props to the writers for nailing the characters accurately, Susie especially.

While so far, Toby is trying to keep the 4th wall stuff subtle. Deltatraveler is a fun way to be more upfront with that kind of stuff. Might not be perfect, but no harm in the team for trying it out

They purposely scared Noelle and generally acted strange before the events of deltarune, so it makes sense that they wouldn't like a full on pacifist run either. They wanna do their own thing.)
Underfell Flowey is one of the best parts of Underfell, which is why it was essentially removed for this implementation. Because this is truly the least interesting attempt at underfell i've seen.
Apparently GG!Fell Flowey was originally supposed to be in Section 3. It would then be revealed that it was actually OG Flowey posing as GG!Fell Flowey. As you can see, this idea did not get very far into development.
