EASY to FOLLOW Tumble Dryer Heater Replacement DIY! Learn how to replace a dryer heater so that you can do your own dryer heater replacement on an Indesit, Hotpoint or Whirlpool tumble dryer and save £££ by doing it yourself!
You can replace a dryer heater for about £25 / $30, it should take you no more than 1hr and this will get you many more years of great service out of your tumble drier. In this video, I used an Indesit Replacement Tumble Dryer Heater Element 2300W for a IDC 85 (UK) dryer. It fits the following:
Indesit tumble dryer: IDC75SUK, IDC75UK, IDC85UK, IS70C, IS70CS, SLC71
Also fits may Ariston, Hotpoint and Whirlpool tumble driers.
Just put your machine model number and “replacement dryer heater” into Ebay or any appliance spares parts website and you will find some dryer heater element spare parts options!

Yes, you can test them. For example the heater element should have a certain resistance, so you can check for that. You can apply heat to the thermostat to see if it triggers but since the item is sold as a unit, I don’t bother… cheers, Phil
