I have learned over and over again how much I assume about people before knowing their true situation. There's a lady I met recently with a beautiful property, permaculture center, and nature school in an area with incredibly high land prices. I've always wondered (and even been a tad envious)...how did she make this all possible?!
The sad, devastating truth: her father and young son died on the same day. She came into a small inheritance from the death of her father and put it towards her life-long passion of plants & community service. You just NEVER know what tragedies people have walked through in life to get where they are now.
This was extremely helpful, I went to uni for way too long and am at the age where the down payment for a house should have happened.
