- After decades of wondering, 10News was there Friday for a reunion of a local Navy nurse and the brother she was separated from for decades.
That is such a sweet story, it reminds me of when I met my half brother for the first time right before I married 35 yrs ago. It is so emotional and overwhelming but, in a good way. I pray they stay in touch from now on.
That is absolutely wonderful! God Bless you both!
this is very beautiful and heartwarming thank you sooooooooo much for sharing this with us
So touching! This made me cry God Bless Them
I read a few stories where identical twins bumped into each other by accident.
One was a girl who was a new freshman at a collage, and when a stranger was pissed that she did not know them and stormed off.....she was confused and continued on her errand....when she saw her self sitting in a chair reading a book.
Neither knew of each others existence, they were separated at birth.
One was raised Catholic, the other Jewish.
That had to be a creepy moment....a long pause.....and later a rather interesting phone call to their adapted parents.
God Bless these Reunions Thank you for posting.
I am so glad I read this during the pandemic of 2020 and 2021 it made me feel good.
God is good all the time, so touched with the story....God bless 🙏.
awesome story..even better ending..glad you two found each other
🥰Thats wonderful, wish them all the best... -⚓️GM2 vet
Proud of them... both awesome people. Aye Mam, Aye Sir - Attention On Deck !!
Wonder why parents allowed this to go on 30 yrs.
sandy dawson they have 2 different Mothers, probably first and second wife to the Father and you know how Womans can be after Divorce not letting the Father see the Child and surely not letting the new wife or ex wife have contact to the Child. It is always the Kids that suffer the most
Not that way at all.. can't alway assume please. My mom and dad divorced the I was a baby. He remarried and had Robert and when he and my stepmother split up that was when my dad went a different way, married again and we lost touch. My mother NEVER would have stopped a relationship. She is gone now so I will defend her. Unfortunately my dad and his new wife had their own issues to personal to share to the separation occurred.. Just glad we were able to reconnect albeit late. Glad I was able to reconnect with my dad who got his life together as well.
@@cindymurray98 Good for you
So awesome!!!! And both of their lives are so similar :-)
Pretty neat even today 7 years later
The video makes it look like Murray saluted her brother, which is not the case. She is an officer, he is not, so he saluted her. This video shows her returning the salute.
He saluted! almost simultaneously but he did :)
I love this story, and I wish the editing had given you your props. There is a more accurate version, but it is harder to find.
Such a SHAME for parents to separate children like that. Just because the PARENTS don't like each other doesn't mean the CHILDREN should be separated and never told where each other are! SHAME on the parents! Hallelujah for the siblings!
Again, please don't assume.. there were circumstances and no shame on my mother who is now deceased. My dad had his own demons and we have made our peace. Assuming when you don't know the whole story is hurtful. Suffice it to say the anger is gone now and I'm glad I was able to reconnect with both my brother and my dad.
Cindy Murray are you actually the navy woman from the video?😱
God bless
And it’s here in San Diego ♥️
I didn’t have a particularly good home life and hoped that I’d find I was adopted and that I had a family that actually liked me. Siblings would have been good too. It was never to be, unfortunately.
I am sorry to hear that. Sincerely hope things have improved considerably. Merry Christmas & God bless u (if u celebrate)
That's freakin cool!!
She's right, about there being a "million" Robert Williamsons and Bobby Williamson. My uncle is Capt.Robert Williamson, USN (ret.) And his son is Bobby! Oh well....
I always joked with my Master Chief and mentor (whose last name was Williamson) that he was my long lost brother. He was African American so we knew that could not be! When my brother and I reconnected my Master Chief was so shocked because Bobby had worked for him and they were friends on FB? Who would know though!! Small world and an even smaller Navy world :)
Is he the one who got you back together with your brother?
my name is robert joseph williamson,, cape breton island nova scotia,, my son is robert williamson , combat sargent, canadian army,,
@@cindymurray98 That is pretty wild
@@cindymurray98 Haha. That 's why it is important to use both our own & any husband' s names together. I like d Portuguese, Spanish, Danish & Norwegian way where dey have both parents ' names.
PS:I use my mother' s unofficially.
persistance pays off.
"Navy Nurse.." how about CMDR !
Both!
@ She's the officer. He saluted her and she returned the salute.
Nurses are made of gold. Often paid didly squat.
hahaha NMCSD. i work there
Thank God they are not from Alabama
Did i hear correct that she was his boss?
No. A CPO that works for her called him and said, "I think my boss is your sister."
