I'm really interested in the opposite of Jack's power alliance videos. Which factions ahould seldom ally? Or maybe soemthing along the lines of showing each way a faction undermines other factions' abilities. Like how BG takes away the shipping income from SG because of their spiritual advisors , or how they take charity from CHOAM.
Great commentary, thanks for doing this. I'd add one thought: your ranking relies on experince that's harder for newer players. For example, all your S level houses only have 1 free revival, which can make it hard coming back from a setback when cash-poor. This is very unlikely for Guild, but not for the other two, for whom it a notable weakness.
I will definitely say that these rankings are based on my experience in high level games, but otherwise it wouldn't really be an accurate tierlist. However, best faction for a new player could be a good idea for a video, so I'll definitely keep that in mind.
Hey I was wondering if you would make a video on how to play the atreides. I always get them when me and my friends play so I think I should at least be good at them.
Unfortunately for that strategy, by the FAQ you can only hark karama during the bidding phase. It's honestly better in the long run since that single ability was incredibly powerful.
@@Jaded_AF Small Wonder when you take away a factions best ability it drops to D tier. They sure snuck that restriction in. Actually from reading the FAQ it kind of sounds like you can use it at any time it's just that you can only get around your hand restriction during the bidding phase. It's strangely written but it is very odd they wouldn't mention a phase restriction anywhere else unless it was specific to hand size.
@@Jaded_AF Ah. I'd love to have a video example to teach the base game with, is why I ask. The only other group that seems to have full games up is MCDM and they get a bunch of rules really confidently wrong in ways I would rather not teach my friends.
@@apostateCourier There are some older videos in this playlist that just include the base game: ua-cam.com/play/PLDXRQOotbqft9YDkjZ3luQwwBVxzujw7H.html For example, in this one we played with just the base game using Basic rules and also explained the rules a bit because we had some newer players: ua-cam.com/video/HiQVx3JeSJo/v-deo.html There's also this more recent video by Jaded which has higher resolution and the 6 base game factions: ua-cam.com/video/lScQw0FS-w0/v-deo.html

A really think GUILD is only A tier. Guild only gets spice after poeple ship.Emp, rischesche and CHOAM get there moeney before or during bidding which means they get to buy cards with them imeadttly. Emp just trounches guild both in combat and there ussefules as a ally. Half price shipping cant compete with having your shiping buying dialing and revivng subizied
The stallout win propels guild from low A to high S. The ability to ally with a faction the complements the playstyle is incredibly strong. The best strategy is often to just ally the strongest player. If they win, well you win too, otherwise you can just hold out for turn 10 and you biggest competition is now on your side.
I feel like your forgetting about the inflation token, it doubles spice, and if you use the no choam side first then double it, then start the next token on double, that’s 24 spice for 2 turns straight, 48 in all. 48 spice in 2 turns is nothing to scoff at, often more then emperor will get in that amount of time. imo if you have decent spice management you’ll never go poor

That's not a half bad idea. I can think of a few already.
What about the Shrek faction?😉 /s

I’ve gotten to where I love playing Harkonnen. It’s so satisfying to harass an enemy when you have 2 or more of their traitors.

I can absolutely do that. I'll put it in high priority for a strengths and strategies video.
Harkonnen D rank? Powindah!!!!
This video needs time codes.
Harkonen have the one sure thing move, Karama right before battle. Now your opponent has a hand of junk and you can kill and survive.
Unfortunately for that strategy, by the FAQ you can only hark karama during the bidding phase. It's honestly better in the long run since that single ability was incredibly powerful.

Any chance of y'all doing a base 6 factions game?
Always a chance. I like to include expansion content so if there was a base 6 faction game it would probably include some variants.

17:40 discard pile reshuffeling?
When the deck runs out, the discard is shuffled to form the new deck. It tends to muddy up card info, especially if you can't take notes.

The inflation token is single use.
