Tavi and I randomized our pokemon starters in Scarlet and Violet but theres a twist! We wont be able to see our starters! We will be choosing our starters only knowing their base stat total! But thats not all! We Will be giving each of our pokemon legendary stats! Once we have our teams we will then build them the best we can and then we fight in a pokemon battle!

@@vaidikjain120I love Colpa, but he’s also done edits for other videos that DON’T have that problem… so, it’s really something that shouldn’t be an issue.
An idea similar to this, but a bit different:
We gave every pokemon 500bst
Basically you pick your starter and then you can change their stats to be 500. So if you pick a arceus you have to remove 220 of their bst, so maybe you take 120 off his spatk to make him a pure attacker, but you still need to remove 100 off of another stat, weakening him massively.
Or maybe you pick a Azuril with 190bst, so you can give him 150(170 total) in speed so he outspeeds almost everything then 160 attack(180 total) with huge power and he just 1 shot anything.
This basically nerfs legendaries, keeps most pokemon about the same as you would always opt to nerf their unused attack stat but makes the weaklings absolute monsters that can sweep or tank any hit.
You could also make the baseline even lower to like 400-450 just to ensure legendaries are actually nerfed. But could be interesting.

Ralts would be broken in this setup. Eviolite works, and you have 302 points to add.

@@superbelo Give it 101 more in each defense and 100 in HP to make it a defensive 'mon. With Life Dew and Eviolite, it could possibly be unkillable.
Or give it more speed and special attack, and Choice Specs to make it nuke everything with Moonblast and Psychic.
There's a billion different ways to set up the li'l guy/gal with that kind of stat range.
I literally just had a similar concept come to mind, but with just adding +100 to the BST like a mega evolution.
Really cool format, but I think it would be bettee to add a restriction, maybe only using the stats of a legend that shares one type.
I was thinking the same thing, that way they don't have to reveal the legendary and then it's also a guessing game 😌
If you want a funny game: a game of guessing where every Mon has some sort of disguise ability. Illusion, Transform, etc. This would be great for Halloween, where we are playing with costumes :)

Yeah, if it had the stats of a high-hp legendary and shed tail, you could use a couple d dances, shed tail away, then bring out something with Zacian's stats, lol. Shed Tail is banned in competitive for a reason

Using endure to get Venusaur into Overgrow range and then using the custap berry was a cool strat even though it didn’t matter because Tobin used Sludge Bomb (which is more damage because STAB + super effective)!
the best for this are sableye and klefkey like klefkey with lugia stats
I’m not going to repeat the same things as everybody else since I’m sure you’ve seen by now about the teams, but I would love it if we saw the mons typing/moves but then overlay the base stats of the legendary mon they chose just because it reads a lot easier seeing that rather than the actual stats
Just a thought, if you did the recap out of the actual Pokémon team screen because we can see the whole team and who they are picking next, other then that love all the content ❤
Or crop it out/put something over that side area so it's still a suprise for people. Some thought others were asking about the time they picking the mons not the recap parts where you can see the team.
Spidops is already a massive menace that is so good it is shadow banned by Smogon and VGC players alike in a Gentleman's agreement that if it were allowed to be played it would break the game and warp it in such unhealthy ways they agreed to not use it, hence why you never see it.
Couldn't imagine the horrors that would begall humanity if its stats were buffed

Sometimes its just better to do that, not everything wants to be bulky so running eviolite may not be worth it over band or scarf. Also evos get moves pre evos may not get E.G. arcanine getting extreme speed but growlithe doesn’t
@lokitheblu8662 Yeah, but sometimes you want to see the Growlithe doing work without it needing Extremespeed to be viable. Because every other video has Arcanine with Extremespeed, professional and casual both. But this one didn't have to do that, because the stats were still balanced enough to see it work. Quaxwell was a fun pick over Quakquaval.

My theory about the legendarys is that it didnt get rid of Legends with under 600 BST
Hi Tobin I have a video suggestion or request or whatever you call it my idea is Can you make a video that you can customize the stats for example if a Pokémon has 500 BST you can customize any stats to your liking but it should be max 500 BST
EXAMPLE (500 BST)
HP - 100
Attack - 150
Defense - 50
Special Attack - 10
Special Defense - 100
Speed - 90
I think it’s interesting what y’all could customize if you pick any Pokémon with a their normal ability thank you Tobin and have a nice day hope you could see this comment and maybe use this idea it’ll be an honor.

Fun video idea for sure! But yeah, like people have said in the comments already, you're spoiling the team by showing the build right after choosing them, instead maybe do it at the end or crop out the icons of the pokemon on the left.

The suspense is who wins, not what are the mons. The suprise is for the other person, not us. We don't know who wins yet, but if we don't know what they're using, who cares about the premis of the video.

Hi, so it's probably just me but I hope not. So you know when you guys are telling the stats and strats for the pokemon, the thing is the full team stays on the screen on the left and we are able to see their icons. If it's much to ask it's fine I was just hoping that in the future you guys can edit the video the way that it won't show any future selected pokemon. It takes away a lot of it I think.
Is it just level up moves? Or are tm moves ok? Because it still astounds me that people don't put ice spinner on quaquaval
