Call My Bluff (Sat 16th Apr 1994 BBC Two) 0811a, 15.10.24 BBC two's birthday? it's just been my burfday... seems a lot of burfdays suddenly sprang up this and last week. what did i get? nothing beyond a broken telly after some slag entered my home without my consent. great.... at least david attenborough knows what he's doing.... the clue is in the words: might mean... they make these things up. how drubtuckle of them.
Call My Bluff (Sat 16th Apr 1994 BBC Two) 0837am 15.10.24 yes it did strike me that they had to disband with something so easy going and radio friendly as this show, call my bluff, for more hysterical matters and all things bob moritmer as is:would i lie to you. for the record i like bob mortimer but that's all the show seems to feature... or so the highlights would suggest.... both shows are worthy but i seem to be irritated by hysterical nature of presentations such as would i lie to you or any nowadays tv. seems to be the way of things, sir...
Call My Bluff (Sat 16th Apr 1994 BBC Two) 0819am 15.10.24 ahhh old peter cook did star on this show. i am very surprised the show wasn't discussed during one of his and moore's rants.... 1994 aint that long ago ,really. i mean, i had a bit of a life to lead back in the day. how heinous of myself that i haven't bothered to carry on living it. sod this!!!!
And soon after they brought it back With Alan Coren, Sandi Toksvig and Bob Holness as the referee replaced by Fiona Bruce as host and Rod Liddle replacing Toksvig
His last television appearance was on Pebble Mill, 21st November 1994, being interviewed by Alan Titchmarsh. It doesn't seem to be online anywhere in full (I would have recorded it if his appearance had been in any of the tv listings), but a clip is in one of the documentaries about him. Titchmarsh brings up the subject of whether Cook had fulfilled his potential, to which Cook replies: " I have never attempted to achieve my potential. What could be worse than to achieve one's potential so early in life..."
Call My Bluff (Sat 16th Apr 1994 BBC Two) 0824am 15.10.24 a thirteener? two no balls hit for 6 and the third ball hit for 1 run................................ that's me prior to the definition being given.
MORLOP - a variety of jaspers found in Australia
NESSELRODE - mixture of candied fruits, nuts, and maraschino used in puddings, pies, and ice cream.
What is a jasper?

Robert's hair was really five foot long, and it started from deep within the crack of his arse. That aside, it was a very good programme.
Peter Cook! Was this his last Television appearance?

A slightly under-used Peter Cook.
