Thank you for explaining this, I evaluate my breastfeeding journey with my first born. I ended up having low supply in the long run because on first 3 days my milk wasnt expressed properly.

What advice would you give someone who would like to become a lactation consultant?

Hi Lindsey, what a fantastic role you are looking to undertake! Our advice would be to have a read of the following link found on the Australian Breastfeeding Association website and take it from there. Good luck and happy studying! www.breastfeeding.asn.au/becoming-lactation-consultant

Hi Irum, thank you for reaching out. The best thing to do in this case is to contact your Healthcare Professional, your GP or a lactation specialist, and they will be best equipped to help you.

So I have a random question. My mother told told me that she was not able to breastfeed me, so she had a babysitter breastfed me for about a year. Could that possibly have any effect on why I never felt any sort of a bond with my mother, like my siblings did?

Hi Jillian, that's a question best asked to a Midwife or Lactation Consultant who will be best equipped to answer those kinds of questions.
Everyone is different, and so are the way we feels in which we feel any kind of emotion.
      Thanks,
      Medela Australia.

Hi Navith, the best thing to do here would be to contact your Lactation Specialist. They will be best equipped to help you with your concerns. In the meantime, a Contact Nipple Shield could possibly help you. You can learn more about them here: www.medela.com.au/breastfeeding/products/breast-care/contact-nipple-shield
