My car won't start because someone tried to steel my car they took out my ignition left two wires sticking out what do I do .the lite turn on but it don't turn over.
My 2004 monte carlo intimidator edition also has this problem, mine's related to the security system. At the moment im probably going to buy a new ignition and key and reprogram the key with the radio, or try and fix my current key. Edit: My 04 only has 70,000 miles so i assume this can happen at any point in time.
I had this issue with my 2002 SS. Had to break down and take it to the dealer... from what I've read, these cars have this problem often. I ended up paying a stupid amount of money but they did take care of some other recall issues ( I think this should have been under recall also, being that I've heard this problem so many times and it's nothing the owner did to cause). They told me that they had to remove the entire dash for the fix; while I try to do my own labor, I didn't want to deal with that. I'm still not happy with one recall... they took the "beauty cover" off my engine saying it was a fire hazard. Heard some people say you can ask to keep it but I doubt they'll give it back. 😡 edit: only around 60000 miles
@@ehill1536 That is crazy, the dealer did not say a word about my cover when i went in for the recall, i have a 3.8 supercharged. I replaced the ignition switch and it only took about 30 minutes.
This happened to me in my 02 it had life but would even turn over. I removed the battery unhooked it for a bit hooked it back up it started this was 2 weeks ago. This morning it did it again it had to get towed to the shop thankfully I was a block from the shop
My Monte Carlo does the same thing but I just have to wait exactly 10 minutes then it starts again. I still don’t know what’s going on but I’m gonna bring my car into a shop to see what the problem is.
What a lengthy waste of time video, just get to the point instead of going on & on. Video was too long for nothing.

Video was informative and helpful.
But you watch it ;)
I mean, he did hint at what you should check before you start replacing parts that don't need to be.
To save you 11 minutes and 10,000 words . He changed "the starter relay" Doesnt say where it is or tell us what the part number is.

What was wrong
@@user-rp7ht8kh9y the starter was gone
What relay were u talking about towards the end that fixed the problem cause I’m having a similar problem with my 2001 Monte Carlo ls
It's the fuse box that sits right behind the battery. It will say starter relay on the diagram on the cover.
Did u get it fixed I'm having issues
This helped a lot thanks for sharing this issue !!

Yes, my 02 monte Carlo has been doing this recently but after a bit of trying over and over it randomly would crank like nothing happened
@KitKat Krazy Mine does this, it's the security system. Don't know how to fix it yet
Able to figure out what it was?
Omg dude get to the point! You're just repeating yourself so much that you're completely confusing the world
Now tell me this, did you have the problem again after replacing? My car will start sometimes not all the times. I have the same car
You shouldn't have that issue again for the next 100,000 plus miles....make sure your cables and terminals are clean and tight....
What is this person saying is he a mechanic or a cash register operator? Come on to long winded
Which relay was it? The crank or the ignition relay?
Having the same problem crank but won’t start
