Not only is Greg an outstanding guitar player, he's also a very nice guy as a person. Those of us who have acually met him appreciate his humbleness. He doesn't make a lot of wind - he delivers and has an incredible knowledge about guitars and amps. Rock on, Greg!
since i discovered this guitarist/song/sound...a couple of weeks ago...i drop by frequently...there's something addicting to this guitarist/song/sound.
Even german guitarists are able to produce warm embrace from deep heart. Thank you, Gregor.
I wonder who's disliking this beauty. Gorgeous playing
Auch deutsche Gitarristen können ganz tiefe große Gefühle zeigen. Danke, Gregor.
All these years later this still gives me chills. Great playing.
absolutely .. all the hairs ... both arms ... wonderful control and yet freedom of expression ❤
Gregor you make me feel very well !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks
You are one lucky guy! It doesn't get much better than this combo! Sweet!
So captivating, this music has changed my life
Gregor Hilden has a real nice touch on his strings. Warm and melodic blues that is easy to love
Very beatifull song and guitars
wow. beautiful. just godly.
You are FantastiC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
glorious ...do more
the world needs more of this tonality ... way too many ppl playing the same shit without the nuances and tonal acrobatics ... teach the world ...my new soulmate
you , sir ... get a hug
what a beautiful, melodic song. Thank you
Just pure great tone. I dont know what people are talking about when they say this amp is overrated.
Smooth. Love it.
very nice clip! the playing is as usual fantastic.
It reminds me a little the sound and harmonies of brother in arms.thanks for sharing.
Fantastisch !!!!!
honest to god, I've seen a pro guitarist, as a joke, TEAR IT UP on a hello kitty guitar. It's the talent of the musician that makes a difference.
Holy crap this is greatness!!!
Very pretty tones!
Klasse, klasse, endlich wieder mal ein "richtigen" Gitarrenton. So muss es klingen, statt dem albernen Tiefton-Metal-Gedröhne, von diese Nichtskönnern !
Excellent guitar Sound !!!!!
Just listen to that tone... amazing
Greg --
I first learned of you while searching YT for an ES335 review and I've been through most of your clips. Your playing--tone, technique, compositions--has knocked me out! Thank you.
Just received "Blue In Red," "Golden Voice Blues," and "Sweet Rain" (from CD Baby). I'm ordering your other CDs.
"Blue in Red" is on the stereo, second time through. NICE! Quality speaks for itself. Great sidemen!

UA-camrs: Buy Greg's music. He's good. Support him!
Excellent!!!
Grandma mary
I wash dishes in a seedy motel restaurant venue cigarettes cheap whiskey and visual lies told by all the skirts that slither in looking for relief of a hungry belly or a place to sit upright for abit after spending all night laying on their backs trying to make rent with some left over to buy gas and lipstick but the boss he listens to this guy playing this music. Not to soft not to loud just..... you know. Like to mellow you out and let the dreams you once had play out in your head , good music. Like a good cup of coffee. To savor on before you plump down the cash and little tip you leave on the worn out counter and sounter back out into the cold vicious reality of life marked by the little bell that rings as you pull back on that door and thrust yourself back out into the world
Since I bought a Collector's Choice Les Paul and got the same pedals as Greg my sound has never been better....now there is no more excuse to sound great :)
Just.... beautiful!
Beautiful tone, playing and composition.
A great performance Greg, beautiful playing, thanks Mr. Magic, cheers.
The best!!!!!!!!!!!!
it is an original tune from the new Gregor Hilden CD "Blue in Red" called "Blue Clouds"
Grande guitarrista, som agradável, show de música!!
Yup, the backing track (and the guitar played over it) is mimicing a couple of Dire Straits songs (most notably Brothers In Arms) and Hilden is using a bag of Mark's licks, but expands the style nicely and ads a brand of his own tasty guitar blend. Just my cup of tea :)
your scratched gibson is amazing, wonderfull
And you music ... I have no words !
Cheers !!!
Awesome Greg, you got the spirit and the tone!
I had no idea this was Dumble Overdrive Special!! I listen to this song all the time on my Spotify!
Awesome tone and great playing!!! Lots of feeling in this song. Thank you for some great guitar music!!!!!!!!!!!!
lovely Kit...lovely sound!
It is an original title by Gregor Hilden from the new cd "Blue In Red". It's called "Blue Clouds"
killer tone on steroids
I'm hearing shades of Snowy White, and liking it very much!
Totally agreed. Snowy White "Bird of Paradise" era - late 70's / early 80's
I hear "Brothers in Arms" ... Anyway, really nice track.
I can see why Carlos likes these amps, great sound and playing.
The older Dumble Overdrive specials had 6L6 tubes.. the newer ones are usually EL34 though keep in mind Dumble tends to voice the amp for a particular guitarists so no two amps are completely alike.
beautiful dude....
Great song. Wonderful tones. Cool style.
I didn't pick up a guitar until I was 34 (I'm 48 now). I couldn't play a note then, and believe me it has been slow work ever since! I guess I'm not qualified to say much, I'm not even a jazz fan, but I enjoy listening to what he does. He has taste and feel; I'm hoping some of it rubs off on me!
Really cool! I never thought that he had actually done CDs, but of course he has!
You have the perfect blues tone.
Great !
very tasty and great skills. Bin als Hollaender oft bei meine freundin in Nottuln. Irgendwie komme ich nie in Muenster aber das wirt sich bald aendern wenn du da spielst. Deine musik ist sooo relaxed!
Fantastic playing in every way tone sound....
your tone is so awasing...
Beautiful. Perfect tone for all the creativity you expressed through the song. It's good to know that someone still makes really good music. Keep it up.
great thanks!!
Dumble took Fender amps and changed the Plate resistor values and cathode by caps in the preamp and used the reverb section for the overdrive channel. In some amps he changed the tone stack values and added a jazz/rock switch which modified the tone stack. SRV used Dumbles later in his career and sounded the same as his Vibroverbs. Robbin Ford sounds like Robbin Ford whether he plays a Dumble or a Twin Reverb. Check out The Ultimate Tone Vol 6 (Dumble Chapter) by Kevin O'Connor
Thanks a lot. No problem. The most people like the music and the sound. But it is normal that some people have different taste and they show their opinion it with a comment. That's ok!
Nice brutha! Nice.
SO GREAT !!!
What a great song, Greg!
Awesome Sound and Great Song!
Bravo with the Dynamics in all your Tracks...!
Magnifique
..beautiful track...man, you`ve got... `it`...stay that way....
Great Song and great Amplifier... \m/
complimenti davvero un'ottimo brano strumentale Greg
🔥🔥🔥 2023
Pure bliss
This is the best sound I have heard from all the gear you have tested .. The LP and the Dumble give that lovely sligthly overdriven tone, which is not overpowering as is all the clones and pedals. Unbeatable...and you sold it !!!
Love that Tone!!!
Tasty sound and brilliant playing !
Very nice. Close my eyes and I would swear it's Mark Knopfler ... and believe me I mean that as a VERY BIG complement. He one of my top 5 favorite guitarists. Cheers mate.
Reminds me a bit of Snowy White. Excellent song and soloing.
this song was made with "Slabo Day" in my mind...
amazing song, amazing gibson too :)
why do these dumble amps sound so freaking amazing? I am a keyboard guy but all the guitar cats I see using dumble amps sound absolutely killer...what great tone....Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Santana...now this guy...terrific. Saw Joe B using a dumble clone that sounded damn nice too.
Amazing!! Thank you gregor for the awesome music :-)
beautiful tone
Great tone and nice chops, love the song.
sau geiler ton! hammer!
Brutal!!! This is rock!
Essa casa e muito legal mesmo que lindo
Kind of like Snowy White from back in the Eighties - remember "Bird of Paradise"?
Nicely played, of course.
It's much like a faster brothers in arms.
Thanks! it is a converted 68
One of the best pieces i have heard on yt, brilliant playing ,im green with envy at the gear also.
Your playing is awesome!! Your blues gives me a very deep feeling of quiet... Keep on, I'm waiting for other pieces :)
i love thissong is excelentttttt
Awesome tone!
One of my favourite modern blues tracks. I ended up ordering the CD and there's some nice stuff on there.
Am currently working in Germany, so will have to see if I can get over to Munster sometime and check out Greg's guitars....
why does every song I have ever heard on a dumble make me sleepy. He should have called this amp Thanksgiving Dinner.
beautiful. i keep coming back to this. backing Am F G. ( i think it's G).....
@kitocomodo I bet yer one of those lemmings thats gunna say how great slash is.. nice work greg. keepin the blues alive < ^ :
@rickmatousek the asymetrical clipping of the triodes on V2 (overdrive tube) The clean channel is cascaded into a second tube where the first stage compresses and the second overdrives. The result is the warm, woody, chirpy, dumble tone.
The boss❤
top!!!
That is positively fantastic... great tone, beautifully played. Your playing needs to get some traction over here in the states... its awesome.
those Dumble amps really have a nice, compressed woody tone! Helps when the player has a good left hand, as well. Keep Rockin'!
it is a 1968 - converted to PAFs
Good Job man!!! Nice tone, nice vibe!!!
