I think the most remarkable thing about these last 3 matches is that Canada managed no injuries. Now with 6 days until the QF, they should be fit and rested. AND all yellow cards are cleared now correct? So other than no Adekugbe or Hoilett (which they could use), the team is in prime condition for this QF. I'm expecting a strong showing Friday. It is frustrating to hear Wheel's alluding to the fact that we don't know if Canada is good enough against a full 11. When Canada plays Argentina we get criticized for "having to" foul Messi cause he's good and we're not. You know why Canada found themselves up a man in those two matches? Because they forced Peru and Chile to foul them all the way to red cards. Let's give our boys the credit they deserve. They caused those problems by being as good as they are.
Wheels is right. Bombito held it together under a LOT of pressure. He won a LOT of points with me... Overall, too many yellows however by Canada - sloppy and not good for tourny play. So yes Canada showed discipline, but needed even more.

People have said that Osorio isn't able to fit into Marsch's system, but isn't it interesting that we saw Osorio start and play really, really well? It seems to me that a 4-2-3-1 is legitimately on the table now. In fact, maybe Kone really needs the additional maturity and calmness that Osorio adds. And if/when Hoilett is healthy and available moving forward, he gets a serious look while the program goes out and finds a young player to develop in that role. The fact is that Hoilett would bring much needed dependability on the corners. They are still a massive problem for this group. We're consistently creating absolutely nothing from them. That can't continue.

Yes, I'm hoping for that as well. I've heard him talk of it, and I think he needs another year in Canada to be eligible for citizenship. He'd bring some creativity to the attack that we're a bit short of just now.
