The key to playing a squishy in bronze is to blend into the enemy backline and act natural so everyone ignores you. Two Anna's pumping out healing side by side, and no one bats an eye sometimes. That's also how a good third of the mercy rezzs work. It takes a second or two of attention after the audio cue for people to figure out if the brightly glowing mercy, who is so confidential standing by the rein, is actually an ally or not.
It's that trick of act so confident no one questions if you're supposed to be there

I respect this player for trying to headshot after the flash & also playing widow. They may not be there yet but they are putting in honest work and trying to be a real player. Don't see much of that in OW.

@@StoneMason103 this player lost tons of value by not fanning, tons. Lots of picks just lost. Unless you land that headshot every. Single. Time. Why aren't aren't fanning? Secure kills, not have the chance to get them and have possibility then lose team fights.
This guy is never going to get to silver playing like this. Let alone gold. You have to use your kit to its potential. Not trying to get higher level plays then your own skill level. Your team is relying on you to not die and to get picks, not just get gold damage.
Trying to practice your dinks you rarely land mid comp is soft throwing. Hit fan.
Edit: and what is this "you're supposed to" bs? Last I checked you can play this game however you want. Just cause you'd rather be flashy than valuable at a low rank doesn't mean everyone should play like you.

This guy also will get more personal value from practicing his headshots the way he is trying to, giving him the chance to improve. If he just hit fan he would be building bad habits instead of developing as a player. Who cares if his team wins or loses at 900 SR? Everybody in that lobby is “soft throwing” the whole game lol. He’s better off improving as a player instead of relying on a crutch to save him.
Edit: my point being at that low of a rank, it literally doesn’t matter if you win or lose, because like you said, they are so bad they can’t even make it to silver or gold. Therefore they are infinitely better off building good habits and becoming a better player first and foremost, before trying to actually climb
I don't see anything wrong with hiting bodyshots in bronze, simple fact of hitting shots consistently is enough. Second step will be learning aiming priorities. And then somewhere in gold this player can learn to headshot.

With widow I'd say second step is headshots. Body shotting supports won't win as many fights as headshotting w.e. you see.
Mechanics and positioning are all you really need on widow to win. You could be the dumbest man on earth and think that you should target the zarya first to win fights, but if you're hitting headshots and getting kills that doesn't matter anymore. Even if your absolute last priority is the healers, if everything is dying you're still winning.

Lol in the first half the enemy team kept respecting the widow (even like hiding during infra at one point), but that soldier realized how bad the widow actually was and kept alpha-ing them.
I’m ok with widow until someone pulls out soldier. There’s something about soldiers movement that I just can’t deal with and in lower levels no one heals widow. I can take on a soldier with a little help. But I am never going to be ‘good’ so I understand when my team doesn’t believe in me.
Only reason soldier did fine was cause he got healed and widow didn't
The difference in widow skill is huge. Some you can kill with sym orbs whilst straffing. others 360 headshot you using grapple

For bronze his mechanics are not 'that' bad. He should still have just picked torb though and let the turret carry him.
He should stand still when ppl are so far away from him instead of strafing the whole time when soldier just does tickle DMG and basically nothing can kill him from that distance
