This is one of our family's go-to week night meals if we don't have time to make dinner from scratch. We add the canned Glory Southern style green beans.
It's a hearty meal!
We eat this meal at least once a week! With a side salad, baked bread, and a veggie! Our favorite

I agree. Scrape off the ketchup corn syrup stuff and then add Westtesschersirshire sauce and its great.
I don't know how Costco of all places managed to pull it off, but the sauce on their meatloaf is the best I've had.

i just wanna say, i was having a really horrible day. I cooked the meatloaf per the directions on the package which had me do it for 60-70 min on an oven temp of 165f. It was supposed to be my end of the day meal. the one thing i was looking forward to. I pulled it out, ran to finish work, came back to finally eat as a treat to end a really stressful day, and the butter had not even melted. it was cold.
i did a google search and your video came up. so i wanna say thank you for helping me. it really means a whole lot to me that you gave instructions.
but also this video was posted in 2017. it is 2021 and the label is still incorrect. amazing.

The oven temp should be around 375 instead of 165. The internal temp after cooking should be around 160-165.
Pretty sure the label instructions are for thawed meatloaf
I purchased the same thing last night from Sam's Club. I wasn't too sure about putting it in the oven with a plastic tray, so I opted for the microwave instructions. 7 minutes later, it still came out good, although the mashed potatoes were not fluffy and the meatloaf popped during heating. Luckily, I had a cover over it.
Where did you see the microwave instructions?
Good to see another person try this as I like to use these for quick weeknight meals. I think the meatloaf meal is 8/10. I feel like I have a great meatloaf recipe that my family loves but this is pretty good and I love the mashed potatoes.
I really like the chicken tacos from Costco. There are enough for my family of 4 to have for dinner plus lunch for at least one of us the next day.

Thank you so much for posting this video. I’ve had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes before and really do enjoy it. I just couldn’t remember how long to bake it and at what temperature. Unfortunately, the meatloaf and mashed potatoes I just purchased had a “meatball and marinara sauce” label on it.

I prefer Sweet Baby Ray BBQ sauce on the meatloaf. Ketchup too sweet, agree. I put potatoes and meatloaf inside a large tortilla and eat it rolled up…Yummmm
Are you able to microwave smaller portions of this rather than putting the entire thing in the oven? I’m just 1 person eating this and I don’t want to heat the entire thing

Just portion out what you need for 1 serving on a plate then pop it in the microwave or oven safe container for the oven

After 1 1/2 hrs at 375, still waiting for the label recommended 165 internal temp. I’m currently pissed and eating cereal for dinner.
Will the tray melt?!??? Why couldn’t they just put it in an aluminum container?!???
The cost at my Costco in Phx ranged $14-16. Most closer to ~$14.50

Just slice and heat in a pan with lid on until brown add 30 ml water per thick slice I also heat mashed potatoes in the pan at the same time
How long are the meals good for if you keep them refrigerated before cooking?
I'm not sure. We normally cook ours within two days.
I heat mine in the microwave. I can eat this everyday 😋

We enjoy the Costco meatloaf, is it your made from scratch recipe NO but it’s not bad . Just add your magic if need be and enjoy . Plus ours comes with a Ton of butter placed into the masked to be melted while heating up … Good job Costco !
Chicken Alfredo is also very good we add Cajun seasoning to it as we eat the left overs pasta the second or third day .

I would like to know how to get the plastic lid back on after you have eaten part of it. The lid will not snap back on oddly enough. Maybe because I cooked it in the over?
I think you will have to transfer the food to another dish to store it.
The black plastic container actually shrinks a bit while cooking. So, the clear plastic top will no longer fit. You can try using a rubber band to hold the lid down if you don't want to cover the container with plastic wrap or transfer the food to a different container.

Did you make sure the internal temp on the meatloaf was at least 160 degrees? If it' starts out colder than room temp.., it may require more than 70 min. to cook.
Can this frozen and cooked when thawed?
I think you can take it home and then freeze it.
@@TamiDunn If you freeze it, you'll need to make sure it's completely thawed before cooking, If it's not completely thawed, it will need to cook longer to reach 160 internal temp.

You can probably cut the meatloaf into smaller servings and microwave it. However, you should not try to cook the entire meatloaf in the microwave. According to Costco, the lid and container are not microwave safe.

that's my take. If you add a salad or veggie, it's definitely a meal for 4--but I think they charge a lot for these 'family meals'.

It's not cheap, but it's not a bad deal. I've had restaurant meatloaf that wasn't as good, but costs only a few bucks less for a single serving.
I have never had a good commercially made meatloaf so this poor review doesn't surprise me a bit. TheReaper!
