Hey everyone, hows it going I’m Jeremy and Welcome to the string showdown where I like to compare 2 sets of guitar strings to mainly find which ones you all like better. Or, if you are shopping between strings for yourself hopefully this can help you make a decision.
Just a little note: Everything is recorded the exact same way as far as mics, mic placement, on my Taylor 812ce. It is a bit of a smaller sized guitar as far as depth goes so it lies a little bit brighter than lets say a dreadnaught shape. doing this allows me to keep out as many variables as possible.
Also, I would encourage you to use earbuds or headphones if you really want to hear detail. But I think even with computer speakers you could probably tell the difference between the sets. Ok, Let's keep going.

Hey thanks for these videos! do you let the strings break in for a week before recording or is recorded right away? I know strings tend to be brighter for a few days before they mellow out on acoustic
Good question. All of the strings are pretty much straight from the pack so no real time to mellow.

thanks! My livestreams are really sporadic right now but in the new year I will stream once a week but still need to figure out a time. Also, it might be more music related stuff but not even sure of the content. I like the just chatting streams but I also like some sort of goal too. Basically building an audience still so my streams have some sort of audience. Ive been dropping in on your 007 streams. Great stuff! keep it up!
@@JTravlos Thats all completely understandable. I watched one of your older streams back when I missed it and it was super chill. You were putting the strings on your guitar and just talking to chat. I also really appreciate that! I might use the NTTD blu ray release later on as an excuse to play some of them again- some games, like Quantum of Solace were better than I remember lol

Hi Jeremy, I feel that StringJoy hears more deader than Martin Sp, but they are both Phosphor Bronze. Do you think StringJoy sounds dead too?
Yea, I thought they sounded dead right out of the package.
@@JTravlos Hi Jeremy, I tried StringJoy, they sounded bright and crisp right out of the package, but StringJoy can get dull quickly.
