@@nancysnotes5796 Oakbark tanned leather, and English tanned leather is the best, too...Tanning is a craft in itself. I have noticed more and more inferior cheap leather being used in 'cheaper' saddlery and bridles..good leather, stitched well and cared for properly will last a very long time indeed..Definitely worth buying quality British tack..Same goes for 'Early's' Newmarket blankets {now Friday Fox make the same type of well woven ones}...They are made in a superior way to other brands...and last decades {even if they lose a little fluffiness, they are still warm if kept away from moths.
