You just appeared on my YB feed, so this is my first watched. Looking forward to more. I am a local burger so will now get to know more about my region, ty...
Get to these sites while; 1. you are still physically able, 2. before the undesirables destroy them further (which 2020 and 2021... they really did a lot of destruction to these sites), and 3. before the world takes your access away from them. And welcome to the ODDySEEy
@@ODDySEEy Yeah when I was in Maryland they trashed the Susquehanna when the weather warmed up during the pandemic. It makes me sad every time I go to Michaux state forest in PA and I see trash. It breaks my heart to see that kind of thing. Glad to be aboard the ODDySEEy!
AWESOME! Welcome to the ODDySEEy... if you guys know of sites in your area that are OLD and/or Abandoned, or that might have a weird history or story... LET ME KNOW. Schuylkill County is in one of the "dry" zones of PA history and it is hard to find anything in that N to S band of our state.
Thank you for this story. It's good to know the real story, not just the superstitious rumors. They may be fun when they are told, but sad that they damage a real person's reputation. It's nice to hear that he really was a nice guy. Also, WORMY'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!
Don't get too hung up on WORMY :P And yeah, it is nice to know he was a nice guy and didn't become the evil story of what is told regarding his sightings. I do love the folklore and folk tales... but the real story is usually stranger and more interesting.
I could not find when the transition took place in the name. The school in the area recently referred to him as the Green Man for a project the 6th graders were to do on local legends. And the tunnel name is Green Man. All the rest of the stories go by the "no face charlie". I wonder where the "charlie" came from.
Freaking Awesome!!!!!! Scott I loved this video. Can't agree anymore with you people making others into something they are not. I had never heard of this story before. Keep up the Great Work 👍 👌 👏
In the 1980's I was a railway signalman in UK on electric 3rd rail system. We got a shout to isolate the system. We went down to short out old system, which had been unused for a few years. Some kid put his ear to thr 3rd rail. Paramedics arrived and removed him carefully. His face skin was on the 3rd rail. He survived.
There are many stories that have been past down from generation to generation about the story of the Green Man and the electrical incident. Just like you said, all the stories you said up to 4:20, aren't true at all and in fact, urban legend. But I'm very glad you spoke the actual story, about why its called "The Green Man's Tunnel" where teens picked him up, drove to the tunnel, and beat him up and left him there. Thank you.
Nice history about "Charlie".... I grew up in New Springfield, Ohio so pretty close to where he lived. My dad was the one that told me about him, he was a big drinker, couldn't see so good so he did walk at night. Dad said he was a super nice guy just wanting to live without being bothered. It's sad that so many "real" legends and stories end up with a person being harassed by A-holes!
@@ODDySEEy indeed, it was a tongue in cheek comment. Though I'm still not sure it would have been much use if he were ever assaulted again. Hence your previous comment, I guess.

we were at the other tunnel yesterday, just learned of the junk yard with possible house, but some reviews are saying the house was burnt down.. do you have to follow the path up the side of the tunnel to find the junkyard, would love to check it out. Hawks were circling like crazy yesterday
@@MoonFlower1111 the junkyard id off limits now, couple guys bought the property, they posted the area with signs and purple paint on trees, i heard they were walking the area armed telling people to stay out
The tunnel that the cars drive thru next to green man's is called corvette tunnel. Two cars were racing and one was a corvette and crashed in the tunnel and a girl died, or so the story goes. I grew up in the neighborhood above both tunnels. We used to party in green man's tunnel before the township used it to store salt. I can sure you it's not haunted.
I just woke up. Checked my UA-cam subscriptions. You are a unique individual, and I enjoy your videos. You’ve already been to a couple places I go to. Bayless paper mill. Nuclear bunkers in Quehanna are one my favorite place to go, you should have stopped by the waterfall just down the road on Wykoff. Wish you included the names and story of the guys that died at the jet bunkers. Godissart (or Goddisard) and Wykoff were their last names. That’s why they have areas in Quehanna named after them. Also, you probably don’t know this, but there is an underground facility in Quehanna also, and you have to access it by going through the ventilation shafts. Let’s not mention the RESTRICTED AREA that is surrounded by a fence that has shoot to kill signs on it. A friend of mine lives just a couple miles outside of Quehanna Wild Area, and explores out there on his mini bike. The restricted area he photographed with his bike in the photo and refuses to go back to.
I am not familiar with the, "by going through the ventilation shafts." And I have "special" access to parts of the sites. Email me (found in About tab) or DM me over on Facebook. I am curious.
There was frustration in making the onsite portion of this video... I felt the need to share that through what I was seeing. It is very different than the rest of the vids when it comes to the opening. They are usually 1 min long on normal.
My wife met him. It wasn't a birds nest on a power line. It was a downed power line near a bunch of kids. He jumped on the line to save the kids. He's a nice guy, likes to drink whiskey and smoke cigarettes. And he liked to amuse folks by smoking from the hole in his face
Glad you feel better spending your time naysaying a UA-cam video. Just be aware, what you believe the story to be does not matter to me. I believe the police report, medical report, newspaper articles, and biography over whispers down the lane. And you are aware he died back in 1985, right? But thanks for watching.
@@ODDySEEy yeah, my wife was born in 1979, her uncle took her to see both the tunnel and the man. We're from that area. There's so many stories on this legend. I'm just sharing what what I heard, not trying to be rude.
My dad told me that it was a race back in 1967 between a camero and a mustang and the camero crashed and caught fire and essentially he just got back from nam I’m pretty sure that was just my dad telling me not to street race
Honestly, blind people have an acute sense of orientation and mobility that they acquire VERY quickly post blindness. They are not invalids by any means and are very capable and able to move around like everyone else does... when he walked the road the first time or two with his sister or mother or father... he then had a sense of his area and it would have become second nature.
Good video, I used to live in South Park, now 1 town over. My only complaint, why give us a warning before showing the mans face but then not giving us a warning before you displayed that mans face further into the video?
One warning should have been enough to alert you to the fact that the images were coming. Typically, people get it on the first warning... that is why we normally only have a STOP sign and not a "stop sign ahead" sign for every stop sign on a road. ;)
@@ODDySEEy Right, you gave the first warning but after that no warnings up flashed the image. Im not offended, Im not bent out of shape, Im just saying it would have been nice to be able to close my eyes for the other times without having to see his face after the first warning.
You might be encouraged to learn that UA-cam organically recommended this video to me on my front page - and I enjoyed it!!

wow, that's a sad story. But it seems like Raymond did have a happy life :)

R.I.P. Raymond Robinson, and also Pete Pavlovic, who passed away in 2023.

Would of been interesting to hear a self-defense use of his pistol... better that we did not hear of him being bothered when he started carrying.
