I've watched several reviews about the M50i before and after buying my 2020 X5 M50i in Black Sapphire Metallic. It looks just like your test car although mine has 21" wheels which are slightly different in appearance. I bought mine for 61K in 8/23 with only 5,600 miles on the clock including the 2 year CPO warranty. It originally sold for $95 K. It has all the bells and whistles you mentioned but it did not come with massaging and ventilated seats. If I am ever in a position to buy a brand new BMW I will option every possible thing whether I need it or not. :) Like you, I have never driven an X5M car but other reviewers have driven it and feel just as you do about the M50i probably being the better choice for the majority of us who really don't need a fire breathing dragon under the hood. The M50i is awesomely fast when you need it. If I wasn't retired and needed to be concerned about gas mileage in day to day commuting then I would have gone for the 40i. It is a fine car with good power but not the thrill of the V8. At 76 I still need the thrill from time to time. :) I don't drive very much so my car is a garage queen but just looking at it every day makes me happy. By the way, I recently discovered a feature in the, "My BMW" app on my phone which gives me the total miles traveled each year and the # of gallons used each year. We travelled 5000 miles in a round trip from California to Wisconsin and back last November. The app says we got 23.5 mpg during the 5 months we drove the car in 2023. If that is accurate, I am thrilled with that. Of course most of the mileage was achieved on Interstate highways and driving in economy mode. Another thing, the self-driving features of the car are terrific, as long as you keep a finger on the wheel and yours eyes open it does everything for you. Never having a car like this before we were plenty nervous with this feature but now really appreciate it on long drives.
I have a 2020 x5 m50, res delete, love it! Rides amazing, sounds great! Heated/cooled cup holders, 360 camera, self drive, comfy and sporty! Amazing suv, but I did add front bumper lip, rear diffuser, 22” velgen wheels, looks amazing!
What is res delete? I knew it once but have forgotten. I've added 2 options, wait, 3 options that did not come with my M50i. I bought a spare tire to fit in the tire well under the floor boards and 2 genuine BMW "M" front fender badges. Someone on one of the BMW forums said the X5 M50i's that are sold in europe include the M fender badges but the cars sold in the USA don't have them. You have to pay extra for them in the USA, $50 each! Of course guys who know the difference between MSports and a full blown M car accuse us MSport people as trying to pretend we have M cars. Well, I say, don't blame us for the marketing schemes of BMW. :)
I live in Alaska. I commute 100mi a day in my 23 X6 M. I is vary comfortable for me, especially with the massaging seats. In comfort mode its just fine.
Bro you got me courious when you see someone walking by you like to lock doors. Was wondering if your cautious or had an incident sometime. Don't answer if its to personal. Peace.
@@abrahamzepeda3961 Oof that's tough bc the X3M Comp is soo good.. I have only driven the x3m comp..(not just X3M) Is that what you're looking at? X3M is more in your face looks wise, firmer suspension, M seats, etc.. X5m50 is more comfortable, fast as hell, low key/understated looks, sounds great, more comfy seats.. If it were me, I would do X3M Comp cus I'm young and like to push the car handling wise.. If I was late 30's,40's,50's and a business professional - I'd get the X5 M50..
Yeah the 2024 is just a refresh. New front end, bigger touchscreen inside. The v8 has the same 523 hp but now it’s a 48v mild hybrid. Not sure why the changed the name to M60i lol.
For 85k starting it needs to have actual leather and not that fake crap. 40k suvs have actual leather these days. Even if it’s a slightly lower quality leather it needs to have actual leather

I have had this car for 2 years and had no idea I had storage on the left there. I have hated the lack of storage. THANK YOU!!!!!
Haha! No problem
@@703Speed what storage? I missedcit

Maturing is realizing the M340i, X5 M50i is just the right power and style for a daily driver.
This cockpit is far nicer than the Merc's flat pannel
Definitely agree

@@studmuffin8859 resonator delete, from part of exhaust.
@@adamsdailydriveway Okay, why delete the resonator?
@@studmuffin8859 way more rumble and grunt, when cruising it sounds close to stock, when you get on it is when it growls and crackles in sport+ mode.
Never trust a video reviewer who wears sunglasses, especially on a cloudy day.

Do you have the m or the m competition?
@@703Speed “m”
How many miles do you have in your vehicle? Have you ran into issues?
@@marcalexander6450 just passed 5k, no issues. I paid for 4 oil changes a year, vs the every 10k mi. I don’t trust that.
Powerful matchine nice presentation
Hell yeah
Isn’t the suspension stiffer than the 40i ??
Hi, does it have the original exhaust sound? or it is modified?
This was stock
Great editting
Thank you!

This is an awesome mid-size suv.
100% agreed. My favorite mid size SUV
BMW X5's are confusing. You are driving a X5i50 which is not "M" but it is completely covered in M badging. I wish you did a side by side comparison.
Maybe I can set that up

I just purchased my 2021 X5 M50i with 10K miles. I actually paid $63K. Based on the price of this one, I feel like I got an awesome deal.

I think for 2024 they are only offering it as m60i

Why is mine X7 M50i and not X7M?
65$ I buy it now

Got mine for $63K with 10K miles on it. No massage seats in mine though

The foe leather in this feels nicer than a 40k car with leather lol
And you can also get the extended merino leather for an additional cost
The low quality leather in $40K cars also looks like crap after a couple of years of use and sun exposure
@@CarlosTorres-hj8ts yeah but I’d rather that than fake material altogether
Really dont need to watch a video on why the sport/track version of a car isnt the best option for daily driving. Crap title.
