You brought back some old memories for me. I was there when I was a little girl in the early 60's. It looked exactly the same. My dad was a little chunky back then and as we were just walking through Fat Man Squeeze dad had to turn sideways to squeeze through and us kids used to tease him for some time after that. My mom was terrified going over the suspension bridge especially because my dad made it bounce so much. After she made it across she saw the stone bridge and said "you mean I could have gone on that instead". She was kinda mad at my dad for a while. :-) Great video as always and thanks for making them so entertaining and fun to watch! Gale
@@MelB868 They were kids. Teasing dad comes with the job. You're the rude one to make such an ugly comment after someone shared a cherished memory from their childhood. How in the hell did I come across a troll on a video about Rock City?
Glad you enjoyed your time in Georgia/Tennessee! It's a great area for seeing cool stuff. Rock City has some awesome lights and displays at night in Christmas time. Nearby Ringgold has some great Civil war history and is definitely worth checking out. The Old Stone Church was used as a hospital at the time. There's a pew which is (according to legend) still stained with blood from a soldier who laid there. Love your vids!
I have great memories going there as a kid back in the 70’s with my family. I used to laugh at my Dad’s struggles through fat man’s squeeze😂 Now who’s laughing....my kids at me! 😂
I love this place, except for the tourists and the overdone extra junk that they put in there...totally unnecessary. The natural aspects were far better than the addons.
man, theres another rock city near ellicottville ny about 45 min from gaslight falls in orchard park and in springville on way theres sculpture park bunch of crazy sculptures all over the woods and hill in the middle of nowhere
That place looks neat go to cheerokee rock village it’s like a cave you step down and supposed to lead you into another one but it was so tiny I couldn’t get through the thing.
Do you mean Starved Rock State Park in Illinois. It is very close to where I live and it does have some beautiful waterfalls that freeze in the winter. Their website is www.starvedrockstatepark.org if you want to check it out :-) Gale
Cherokee rock village had a place so tiny I couldn’t get through it I fit in side ways but couldn’t move I went back and went the other way. My niece said I fit through it I said yeah because your a kid and your small she is like 10 years old
I want to go to Cherokee rock village again I could probably do a mile hike I don't give out of breath within 5 minutes anymore I should be able to do it stay on the trail and hike not climb rocks I'm not able to do that and the fat man squeezes I don't know I'm guessing probably not
Actually a number of elderly with walking canes have been known to brave the suspension bridge, and if wheelchair bound, there are some parts that will not be accessible, but many parts of the paths are accessible.
I could easily fit through there at 5; 0: and 108 lbs! I was afraid you were stuck for a moment. All these places you go to are so cool!!! Makes me want to explore more!!!!! Thanks!!!! Pat
🙄108? You need to gain some weight You sound annorexic. My boyfriend and I tried to do one we went through some of it then it got narrower it wasn’t this one it was another one we turned around we couldn’t fit through it. It was probably the size of this one I don’t know. Or I don’t know all I know we were too big to get through it
Actually I don’t know if I would be able to do it at least it’s not muddy like the one we tried to go through we had to turn around after looking at some my boyfriend and I couldn’t fit through it. I’m obese and he is too. So I don’t know if I could get through it or not I haven’t been there.
I don't know if I would fit through there or not I'm obese my boyfriend I don't think he is obese well he was but I don't know if he could fit through there

You teased him because he had to turn side ways to get through a small hole? Rude

It looks amazing in Autumn. You chose a good time to visit.
Wow... this video is one of my favorites! Love watching and listening to this one! 👍🏾👌

Yes! Its a very cool place!
Very cool!! I hope to visit someday
Awesome
What kind of camera stabilization are you using? It is silky smooth.
Very cool place. I live about 30 mins away
I love this place, except for the tourists and the overdone extra junk that they put in there...totally unnecessary. The natural aspects were far better than the addons.
I love Rock City, too, but I dislike the harp music they play. Like you said, it's just unnecessary.

I am so claustrophobic I could hardly watch you walk through here 🤦🏻♀️😂
If you like this , try Starve Rock in Wisconsin , water falls in the spring freeze in the winter!

That reminds me, I wonder if he made a stop at Ruby Falls inside Lookout Mountain Caverns?
Amazing very beautiful 👍
Very ice video. Thank you.
5:24 I wonder what the star is there for. It was not there when I was there in the 1980s and it was not there when I was there in 2001.

that place looks AMAZING!! Awesome video!! ...it woulda been funny if ya got stuck in there haha
@Julia Jurcisin: it is pretty claustrophobic.... but a very cool place to visit, albeit perhaps a bit more fun in the warmer weather
It would of been tragic
I remember being there when I was a kid running across the bridge and jumping on it and scaring my parents with my brother and sister

💙💚💛💜❤beautiful
Nice video. I'm assuming this place is NOT ADA compliant.

My boyfriend and I we can’t get through those
I don't think I could get through there
Been there at least 10 times.

You were 10 min from my house !
U are dramatic. We went today and the squeeze wasnt that bad. Quit freaking people out
I went today, and it WAS that bad. It's very narrow. A claustrophobic person would freak out.
