I purchased 2 K1300S’s which I still own and ride. A 2010 in granite gray with red/black accents (like the video) and a 2013 fancy anniversary edition model. Absolutely love these bikes as they really are the epitome of sport touring with the hard luggage. These bikes give up nothing in performance and bullet proof reliability!
Great find that! My boss picked up a K1300r back in the summer with just 1300 miles from new. You don't see many k1300 's about, probably hold it's value well I would think. 👍
Nice bike! I own a 2009 k1300s as well. After installing the new exhaust system, it was put on a dyno where we were able to really wake up the bike. Mine has a lot more power in the lower Rev range now. It takes off like a rocket at any rpm. I'm pleased that you like your BMW.
Hi Redford Baron and applause to your K 1300 S 👏 Very pretty colour, one of the least rated bikes but nonetheless one of the greatest sport tourers ever 😅👍 Congratulations 💪😃 💥✨️ ( I was never before a fan of the BMW's until I bought me this wonderful 2011 used bike in 2019 😅 )
Just found your channel while looking for a decent K1300s review of which there are very few uk reviews about.. pick my newly acquired 2012 one up Friday and I’m looking forward to it. I Will do a first impressions ride vid when I get it .....Lovely looking bike you’ve got love the colours 👍🏻. Just subbed look forward to watching further content
You said in your video that you’re quiet tall, may i ask how tall you are? I’m 6’4 myself and looking for an k1300s as well…thank you! Regards from The Netherlands!
A right proper ride, that... I own a 2007 K1200R Sport and by god it will fly... BMW reckons it pushes 160 bhp to the rear wheel... nice find your bike... do you still own that RnineT?
Good video. I really like the K1300S. I’m considering getting one soon. How tall are you and what is your inseam? I’m 6’5 240 with a 36” inseam. I wonder if I would be comfortable.
Hi i'm 6'2 with 34 instep it fits me well i haven't ridden it much yet due to the salt on the roads here but it felt really nice to ride compared to an outright sports bike and easer on the wrists its defiantly bike i missed when they were selling them new i would have brought one back then if i had test rode one
@@RedfordBaron I have never heard of these bikes either until recently. I was torn between the ZX14 and the K1300S. I’m thinking the K1300S looks to be a lot more comfortable.
@@71cfree I have had my K1300s for 3 years now, 6ft4 and 34" leg. pegs are much higher on a ZZR14, the K is a far more comfortable bike in almost all respects. also shaft drive..
Sorry for your loss, mate. My advice would absolutely do your test, but don't jump straight onto your dad's K1300s. My advice would be get something smaller 600/750 or so and run that for a bit. Everyone is more likely to drop a bike in the first 6 months, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to drop the K.. Also, if you are UK, the insurance will be crippling! That said, if you are careful, and sensible, no reason you shouldn't. Either way, do the test! 👍
@@VtwinTim Thank you for the advice, Im riding the K1300S for about one month now, and im really enjoying it. Best bike ever, Im still riding carefully each time. But, I can handle the weight easily, and also the full power on straight line /empty roads. Insurance is luckily 20 euro per month as beginner on this bike.

I bought it with 62.000 km's and today it has 98.000 km on the whatch. Meanwhile I must not drive with it like a racer. This is not good for the rubber on the tires and for the rpm's of this great Motor with 140 Nm of torque at 8.250 rpm's. This bike loves the kind of my driving style in the lower rpm- regions too. I had never before a bike with such a great chassis and with a Kardan one arm swing. Because I'm only 1,70 m tall I've sometimes problems to get my feet to the ground, but in the "rolling-mode" Ifeel to be grown together with my 💪"K"💫 She has a LSL handlebar which is wider and higher positioned as the series hdlb's and the HP-footrests (= High Performance ) are wonderfull adjustable. You should always drive it with a very strong respect because it's 175 hp's accelerate you to highspeed in ultimate time which can cause to loose the control. But you can also drive it like a normal bike or car with low horsepower ( like meanwhile I prefer to ride it ) When your head is always in control of your gas hand until you got good trusted and grown together with her, this could get a very happy marriage for both of you 😅✨️ Wish you all the best and stay safe in all your activities Greetings from Bavaria 🤗 💞 👍

Thanks its a nice bike a little uncomfortable for me but i have a 1250 GSA thats the bike for me every time

Thinking of buying a k1300 myself and the fact your testing it on the same route I use for a quick spin must be fate trying to tell me something !

Wait till you take out that baffle and use the quickshifter. It's almost a religious experience!
