Wooo hoo! I predicted your win over sterling! As for your mixed game, you looked great and did make a lot of improvements over the past mixed games. Nice to see you going on the attack and being less passive, but your girl should hunt the net more like at 05:19 she should be looking to outright kill those slow motion mistakes by the opponent. Finally, Amy should try and return serve to the middle with the spinning net shot/hairpin if she can because from what you show, the opponents aren't taking a step forward after they serve. This will force them into a straighter lift because she should be at the net before them and they don't want to go for a side drop to the net when Amy is already there. Then you smash the middle and put the pressure on them and WIN! Rinse and repeat!
Hahah I always enjoy your comments! Thanks for the analysis! For us we didn't want to be attacked so were trying to be a lot more aggressive. But because of that we were pushing quite a lot too instead of just a soft net to set up for the offensive shots. at 5:19 I agree! Im definitely not good at those killing shots tho as well haha.
oh wow I never picked up on doing a return in the middle. But wouldn't the girl just return it since shes the one at the front/ serving? but interesting thought..

@@WaynesBaddy I tried to reply with a link to a video clip of what I was trying to explain, but it's not showing up. Maybe it's in your comments held for review. Let me try and explain again. When opponent girl low serves to your girl, have her hit close net shot in the middle of the net. It's like a spinning net shot, also known as the hairpin. The shot stays close to the net and leaves the other girl two options if she doesn't take a step forward after her serve. She has to try to net the shot which she will be taking below the net, which will be killed if your girl is already at the net. Option 2 is to lift it (this is what usually happens if your girl is on the net) and since it's in the center of the they don't have the ability to create wide lift angles (left right) and pretty much have to lift high somewhat straight to the back which should be the easiest shot for you to hit.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think Leo goes on to win. Near the end of the video he looks like he's had a few red bulls and is ready to climb up the wall, but you look tired at this point.

Ok at 05:30, you're facing lefty + lefty so I hate to say it, but bad shot choice by Amy. Her shot is a little high so you have to be ready to cover your rear forehand because that's the easiest shot for lefty girl because it's her forehand and sterling's forehand. Just have her clear it to sterling's backhand corner and then you don't have to worry about who covers the net. Sometimes it's not about who covers, but how to stay out of bad situations like that.
true good point! I think its quite easy to forget that we were playing against leftys. I found that I have a lot to work on so that we don't even lift in the first place! Thanks for the comment!
