OMG!!! I'm so sold dude!!! I'm going to Exoticon!!!! Take my money!!!! Spike, I miss these long form episodes with the hilarious out takes. Awesome!!!! I wish it was 2 hours!!! BTW, that must have been some party.
We tried the Poison Dart tonight (took a few replays to get the right quantities of the listed ingredients...), and wow, it's a REALLY good tiki drink! Just 5 ingredients, but SO much tiki flavor! Great mix of the sweet, the sour, and the raspberry (think "exotic") flavors. So fresh! To get that kind of complexity out of just 5 ingredients is brilliant! This has definitely made our Top Tiki list. Kudos in the extreme to this drink's author! 🙏
"Spike's Breezeway Cocktail Hour was filmed before a live studio audience could do anything about it." 😉 You seriously need to have Tiani/Tiana/Tiara on an episode all of her own. And hurrah! for the return off the out-takes!
she is one of my wife and my FAVORITES and we’re talking west coast to east coast and in between. From Hale Pele to the Grogg Grotto to Three Dots and a Dash. We LOVE her👏
👏 Bravo! Loved the vignette/cameos introduced into a lime-cutting/drink prep scene. Very well executed! Kirsten finally saying what needs to be said about Star Wars and modern pop culture. I love (first 3 only and perhaps Rogue 1) Star Wars, but infiltrates enough of life. It has no business in retro-appreciation IMNSHO. I’m first to criticize the weaker episodes, but this one was some tip-top production 💩. Also, the host (Jordan) has a dream life: artist, animator, enthusiast, gallery owner, festival organizer. I love to see people able to live their dream. Gives the rest of us mopes hope in a rather bleak world 👏👏👏
Watching the outtakes something hit me! Spike comes off just as awkward as I would trying to act like I've known these people for 25 years 😉😄. But he actually knows them 🤷♂️.
Finally catching up Spike, spent time at The Mirage recently before Hard Rock changes it. Love the "Cannonball Run" style Bloopers! Just missing J.J. & Cpt. Chaos.
We went on Sunday & were blown away by your performance w The Hula Girls 🕺💃🎸 Everything about the event was so well thought out & designed to give attendees the best experience possible. Praying this happens in OC next year so we can also enjoy cocktails 🍹 LA will be doing lockdowns & god knows what nonsense. Everything was so well executed by everyone involved they really brought a lot of heart but Tiki will never be Mormon. Ya can't make Tiki happen without Rum ffs. Again, amazing performance, loved all of your guitars & music 💯
Had the pleasure of being served by Tiani (sp?) this weekend at Toga Hut PS. Amazing bartender and she offered up great suggestions based on what I was drinking. A true pro.
Wow! What an amazing episode. The bar, the guests and the bloopers!!😂 I really hope this event is repeated next year gotta visit California for a tiki bar crawl and this event! Awesome work Spike!
I miss The Hawaiian Restaurant in Salt Lake City. About once an hour or so there would be a Hurricane indoors. This was decades before the Rain Forest Cafe.
Sven was only kinda right when he said that all these newbies don't know any better RE: Star Wars and monster movies. The fact is most just aren't interested in learning and are only into it because it's a fad at the moment. They are told something isn't Tiki and then you are called a gatekeeper and snob for trying to guide them down the right path. They like what they like, which no-one is saying they cant, but they don't like being told they're wrong.
During the 19th and early 20th centuries, the most common spirit available in the South Seas was gin. It came from Dutch Java and it was known as square-face due to the shape of the bottles. Rum was common in the Caribbean and Australia.
Sounds like they have their shit together and can teach other fests to do the one price includes all vs nickel and diming you to death....I'm looking at you Tiki Oasis.
It sounded like a pre-planned bit that maybe didn't land. You can't expect every person at a con, there to do a job, to be great in front of a camera, a very different job
If I made this video I would mention the date of the event several times during the video. You’re trying to promote the event right? We don’t know if it happened a week ago or three years ago. I know expect us to be psychic but we’re not, however… Check back with me after my third coconut mai tai I’ll probably be psychic

Same here! The 16 minute episodes are not your A game
Tiana, Tiani. Potatoes, Potaaatoos. Spike`s,,,, is by faar my absolute favorite YT channel....and those bloopers alone are priceless.😄🤙

I loved the bloopers. F@#$ it, we’ll do it live! Lmao

Fantastic show, love the bloopers when something happens and all these people you can’t see start laughing.
Fantastic episode. Soo much Tiki goodness.
I called it "tiki bling" at your place earlier this week, but then...it wasn't captured on film, so I guess Sven wins.

Thank you!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! A TOTALLY AWSOME VIDEO AND EVENT. THANKS FOR SHARING.
Great show Spike, wonderful guests, lol out takes, another new drink to make and add to my bar. Also, Exoticon is now on my bucket list!
What an incredible lineup! Sven and Shag! What an unbelievable bar!! ❤👏👏👍🤙

She is a delight
Wow an incredible episode! Thanks Spike!
Thanks!
I usually don't watch videos this long all the way through, but man what a fantastic place and all the stories. 😮
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing guests and that bar!!! That collection!!!! 🗿🗿🗿🗿🤯
Great show, Spike! Especially loved the outtakes! 🤙

So no one is gonna say it?? Tiahni is the hottest girl that’s been on the breezeway cocktail hour! 😍🥵 Good lord!!!

I think if people want to combine things they love more power to them. Not everyone is going to be a hardcore purist.
I was thinking the same thing that Sven was saying. He should be more open minded .My opinion
Tiki isn’t actually authentic, so it’s strange to think you can’t allow ppl to do their own interpretations with other things they like.
with all that priceless tiki stuff, i kept getting distracted by why the colt 45 beer sign? 8:35 lol
😂 even the most incredible collections have one thing where you go.... what?? 😂
I LOVE MY TIKI CULTURE FAMILY!!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!
Spike, Thank you for recommending Hamilton white stash. It took three months but I finally got a bottle. Aloha
Yesssssss

WOW!!! I NEED TO ATTEND EXOTIKON!!! PLEASE KEEP ME UPDATED!!!
Any promo code for the event?
Oh, I’d love to get one of those exoticon shirts
Hey A Fellow Animator..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aloha, is there any follow up video about how the event turned out? Is there a video promoting the next one?
They have started promoting another one but we aren't involved with that one.
Hey Spike, will you be at Tiki Oasis in San Diego in August?
I don't think I will be
Let's drink!
Sounds like they have their shit together and can teach other fests to do the one price includes all vs nickel and diming you to death....I'm looking at you Tiki Oasis.
I will try to teleport there in excorporeal form, as there is no way I could make a run to LA this june.
Tiana...no, Tiani...that wasn't awkward at all! She sounds like fun...:(
yeah, maybe she was stuck in traffic trying to get there. Personality was not apparent.
It sounded like a pre-planned bit that maybe didn't land. You can't expect every person at a con, there to do a job, to be great in front of a camera, a very different job
Watch the end blooper reel?
Tía Is the sweetest person. But even the nicest people don't always feel at home in front of a camera. Let's be nice please.
She was great. And she was very much in on the joke.
Shame Exotikon was so close time-wise to TikiKon.

😂 that's a really good point. I guess at the time of recording it, we figured it was obvious. Now that's it's passed, it's probably super confusing.
SUGGESTION: ATOMIC RANCH MAGAZINE!!!
Its like spike is the only one in on the gag
Actually you are right. For example it’s common in Sweden to pretend that you are an Afro American blues man.
