I remember the Rodriguez Bros. car from when I was a kid. Do you know how to get in contact with whoever owns that car now? I want to ask if i can take some pictures of it. Please let me know if you can help?
Great video. If you ever get a chance see if you can get a full pass of Godzilla ('55 Chevy sedan). That car I remember from the '60s/'70s, and it was a real treat to see it go down the track, especially viewed from the walk over bridge. ..... Jim .
No personal knowledge of them. But I have a black & white 2-dr post '56 (kinda gasser-like) and was told by the previous owner that he bought the car, and painted it based on a '56 black & white drag car he remembered from Thompson Raceway in the 60's.
Better yet, one of my other UA-cam videos is all about my '56 shortly after I got it. ...from the Demopolis brothers. Again, I was told it was built after they saw a black & white '56 race car with a matching tow car, at Thompson Raceway in Ohio in the late 60's. Sure would like to know if what they saw was the Rodriguez gasser. Just don't know what kind of tow vehicle it had back then. Do a UA-cam search on "mhburns 56 the movie". It should be about the 3rd or 4th one.
That fast black 33 reminded me of Hart Automotive's 33. Too bad you didn't get ET's. Very important
Fabulous stuff thanks for the upload ..ya just gotta luv a gasser.
My dad's that 55 Chevy hill born injection with the black trailer

When I think 'Gasser', AA/GS, I think '41 Willys...
...and when I think '41 Willys, I think 'Stone-Woods-Cook' and 'Big John Mazmanian'!
