My dad & his buddy Ed Bernier campaigned a very successful BB/GD here in the northeast for years, beat Shirley a number of times before she went to nitro. I can still remember push starting it at New England Dragway. If I had one wish it would be to drive one of them again w/my dad & Eddie crewing. My dad's still alive at 84yrs old, but sadly Eddie died of cancer years ago. Miss those days. Drag racing was SO much better back then, even in the early days of the WWCS meets.
The man sitting on the chair looks like Monza from street outlaws ? Thanks very much that was very sweet to watch so many different classics car with big power ? Maybe it was only 1 8 of a mile ? Because of the times an the speeds
@@protree_productions As a teen my parents were friends with one of the owners of ATCO so i spent much time there and would use my hands for cover when Top Fuel ran but also spent half my career in SWAT using protection, have constant buzzing in ears and i was careful.

Looks like a slick spot in the right lane.
@TerryLay-sn9gg Yeah, if I remember right, the AA guys were having a problem with that lane all day.

Smell the rubber left from them burnouts ( sniff sniff 😊)
sweet!!!!!
Amazes me still people without hearing protection. A gentleman from my city runs the "Boss Hydro" Willys amongst others, Rocky Pirrone.
My grandfather never wore hearing protection when he raced or during the years of construction work. Now we have to almost shout when talking to him.
