Ha ha, we'll need to put an addition help line number at the end!! 🤣 We seriously need to start catching up on the videos that are outstanding to edit. Cheers...Andy&Michelle
This is another area featured in Paul Morton’s grand tours which first inspired me to visit the summer isle and walk up stac Polly and suilven. Gairlock was the next choice for us and stay for a week and then another week in skye. From you beautiful footage it had made it even more appealing. We are going to be walking in Torridon and some of the fabulous peaks there. Would love to get out fishing there also . Going to bring bike this time. Thank you for such a great vlog. All the best, Tony
Thanks Tony, we've just googled Stac Pollaidh, wow, looking at its location the 360 views from there must be amazing. We'll add that to the todo list! We wanted to hike the peaks between Torridon and Kinlochewe but the logistics didn't work out for us, still so much to do there! Cheers...Andy & Michelle
Another great video, I agree Gairloch was a fantastic wee site but we found it was the most expensive aswell @ £30 or £35 for a sea view per night. The butchers that youse showed, sold the best bacon I have tasted for a very long time !! The Dukes of Hazard, showing your age now Andy, Who are you Bo or Duke? And also not not forgetting Miss Daisy 😂😂
Thanks Alan, yes the price was a bit steep there. Ha ha...yes definitely showing my age with the Dukes of Hazzard! and no, can't forget miss Daisy!!👙!!
I always find it quite funny the inventive ways people find to pronounce some of the Scottish names. Kinlo-chew. It's Kinloch Ewe as in Loch Ewe. I see that you have even spelled it as you pronounced it. Great video!
We actually cringe when we say some(most) of the names as we inevitably get them wrong! Thankfully theres always someone to put us right here in the comments. Cheers...Andy&Michelle ps...I've just gone back to correct the spelling!!! Thanks again 😀
I loved the his and hers matching outfits in the opening scene. Very cute 😂 wish our local pub had a garden like that, instead of a tractor climbing frame and a plastic dinosaur! Clare was actually on the edge of her seat with that bike ride and your QR codes blew her mind 😂
Ha ha, matching outfits! That wasn’t intentional, yes really enjoyed the pub there. There’s a QR code for everything these days!! Cheers.. Andy&Michelle
Hi both. Really enjoy your videos. They are very watchable and I love the banter between you. Michelle, I wonder if you could recommend your walking boots. I need to buy a new pair and would welcome any info you might be able to give. Looking forward to more of your adventures
Hi Patricia, thank you for your lovely comments. 🤩⛰👍🚐 The boots both winter and summer are Salomon. They are superb… I’ve been using the brand for years as Gore tex waterproof, very lightweight ( even the winter ones) great grippy soles, comfortable, supportive and last for years. There not cheap but absolutely worth every penny. 👏🥾🤩 Highly recommend the brand 👍 Hope this helps …Michelle
I must admit Andy going wrong almost made my day, is that a bad thing :-) Washing pants after 3 weeks haha that's wearing them inside out and upside down I think! I'm probably wrong, but I get the feeling Andy is trying to lose Michelle? :-)
Ha Ha, I'll make your day even more...Michelle will tell you virtually every hike has a wrong bit! ....yes it did seem like I was trying to loose Michelle at the furthest point away from our Motorhome! 🤣🤣🤣
It was the easy route down the waterfall 🤣🤣🤣, As you can see, Michelle wasn’t too sure any that route!! Need to keep her on her toes!! Cheers..Andy&Michelle
I was enjoying this until I saw you completely pass the passing place when there was a car coming towards you. Really dangerous behaviour, and poor attitude trying to blame them.
Hi Steven, have to disagree with you there, the passing place was on the other side of the road and a car had pulled in to let us pass, the car approaching goes past a passing place on their side of the road. It was the car coming towards us showing dangerous behaviour, I’d be the first to hold my hand up if I genuinely thought I’d got it wrong but really don’t believe that is the case here…Andy
@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures Thanks for taking the time to respond Andy. If you look at the highway code, it states that anyone traveling downhill on single traffic roads should stop at the next available passing place to allow up-traveling vehicles to pass. You were traveling down hill and therefore should have stopped next to the first car and waited for the other car to come up and pass you. Your point about which side of the road the passing place is on is irrelevant.
Ok Steven, I’m not quite sure how that would work if a car was already in the passing place but I accept your info from the Highway Code and would never want to be putting anyone in danger, ourselves or the other drivers, cheers…Andy
@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures Well obviously the first car would carry on their merry way once you've pulled over and out of their merry way. Simple mistakes easily fixed with some helpful insight. Cheers!
U saying he wasnt slowing down, camera shows that u wasn't slowing down. Your just another one of those angry cyclists arnt you. U wasn't slowing down hence why u needed to skid to stop. I love torridon, the mountains there are completely different and there are some great paths around for some great walks,
Hi Mathew, what you don’t see is that we were already halfway down a very steep hill when he approached. So yes travelling faster than usual but not in the wrong. We are most certainly not “angry cyclists” as you put it… in fact very much the opposite. ☺️I’m sorry you feel this way or this is how you perceive the footage 😞😞 Torridon was incredible, I wish we could have stayed to have done some of the hiking here too but unfortunately not on this occasion. We will shall definitely come again as Scotland has been a magical experience 👍🏼😀 Michelle
We stopped over at Sands when we did the NC500 in 2021 (I say NC500 but it was over 2000 miles when we got home, as we went up via the Cairngorms to visit family and thought since we are here we might as well go over to Orkney 🤣) . Great campsite, very big but it is sectioned off really well and has great facilities. There is a fantastic beach just over the sand dunes. A torrential downpour soaked me to the skin whilst putting up the tent, then half an hour later we were sitting on the beach, shorts and t-shirts sunbathing and enjoying a couple of beers. If you ever do it again, I'd recommend taking a right at Rhiconich and following the road along to Kinlochbervie. I would have recommended going all the way to Sheigra but that is no longer open to MHs. However you can park at the toilets there and hike the 4 miles to Sandwood Bay. I can also thoroughly recommend going to Handa Island scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk/reserve/handa-island/ - Puffins, Skuas, Razorbills, sea stacks. The ferry over only takes cash though, so be prepared for that. After Handa, we stayed here for a couple of nights portabhaigh.co.uk/ Fantastic place, the drive over the crest of the hill, when you first see the Summer Isles is breathtaking. The Fuaran Bar is also a great place, but look out for the locals, they will buy you drinks, start chatting to you then next thing you know you are all very drunk and best friends for life!
Thanks for all this Graeme👍😀 we were only talking last night saying we need another Scotland trip to do more of the things we missed the first time around. We've already booked up this year and the first half of next but the places you mention sound amazing so we'll definitely be adding them to our list. Can beat drinks with the locals! 🍺😀 Cheers...Andy&Michelle

Dukes of Hazzard bridge definitely called for a General Lee impression 🤣 another lovely beach there. 👍
I suggested daisy duke but she wasn’t having any of it!! 🤣🤣🤣

If it’s the same one we stayed at we have great memories of taking our drinks back from the pub to our Motorhome! 😀

Loving your videos from the nc500 just wondering how long you took to do it
Hi Andrew, great to hear you are liking the NC 500 videos, we were there 5 weeks which sounds a lot be we still missed so much! Cheers…Andy&Michelle
Are your bikes part electric?
Yes they are ebikes (pedal assist up to 15.5mph) very handy in Scotland! 😀
